in reina - my queen
Damn, if you didn't want me back
Why'd you have to act like that?
It's confusing to the core
'Cause I know you want it
The herb Namor fed (Y/N) made her pass out. But he couldn’t lie about how much he enjoyed seeing her all vulnerable. Even when she had been asleep earlier, he was hesitant; should he watch her sleep? Should he dress her in royal attire? After all, she was going to be his queen due to the changes. Namor fully intended on entirely making her unable to breathe out of water.
But she was special. And he knew in his heart that he was right. But the fact that (Y/N) was still potentially able to escape to the surface world made his veins pop out of his skin from frustration. Namor’s plan had not gone as he thought it would.
Namor’s hand slightly skimmed across her cheeks, feeling the soft (S/C) color beneath it. He especially loved feeling even more of the slight bumps along it. He wasn’t too fond of the idea of perfect skin like surface dwellers went on about. People aren’t meant to be perfect, which is why he hated the modern dwellers.
When Namor was bored from his royal duties, he would sometimes pop out from the surface and watched the people who spent time on the beach. Namor would frown when they started saying terrible things about themselves. No one in Talokan did it. He would never encourage that behavior anyways.
(Y/N)’s eyes slowly opened after a while and her eyes were too tired to care about what was going on. Namor was still letting his fingers dance across her skin and watching her every move. She just didn’t understand why someone as royal as him would care for her.
“In reina, it is good to see you awaken after your transformation.”
Her breath hitched in her throat as her hands felt all over her skin, feeling slight opens that were mini gills, yet still able to breathe in the air. (Y/N) couldn’t help but notice how piercing his eyes were. The way Namor’s eyes looked into her soul was like he understood cogs turning inside her head. It was magical.
His hand inched towards hers and held it. It was one of warmth but possessiveness. He was glad to have her here with him. That way no one could harm a single hair on (Y/N)’s head.
Her hand slightly pulled away from his hold. She was scared of Namor. And why wouldn’t she? He kidnapped her, essentially changed her whole body against her will, and won’t let her leave. Essentially changing her life as she knew it!
“I wish to go back home.”
Namor grunted and his other hand clenched into a fist out of anger. A spit of fire lit inside him when (Y/N) wouldn’t do what he wanted. A part of him liked how headstrong she was, but he just wanted her to submit her all to him. And he was gonna get her to do it no matter what.
“You cannot leave. Please, see my kingdom before coming to such a conclusion.”
“This isn’t where I’m supposed to be! God, can you listen to me!? Or are you so arrogant that you believe I want what you want!”
Namor went silent before getting up, grabbing a bracelet that was built of gold and jade. He presented it to her, seeming to bargain his muse. Anything for (Y/N). Anything. He gently grasped her arm and tied the bracelet around her wrist, loose enough to not cause redness in her skin.
“It was my mother's. She gave it to me before she passed. There was no one I loved as much as I loved her.”
(Y/N)’s heart tugged. Oh no. It was working on her.
“Your.. mother?” she asked, gazing at the jewelry adorning her wrist that complimented her (S/C) skin.
Namor nodded and let his finger stroke over the smooth jade, “She died of heartbreak. She missed her life on land. Just couldn’t bare to live here underwater anymore.”
(Y/N) noticed the way his brown eyes seemed to cloud with the memories of his past of long ago. She wished she could look inside him to see what he had seen; to understand him. She knew that this wasn’t an appropriate response to someone who had stripped her of the life she once knew, but she’d always been empathetic. She understood that Namor must have been alone for a while. He just wanted company. Peace. Love.
(Y/N) didn’t know what to do in response to such news. But she reacted as how she’d want if she told such a sad secret to someone.
Namor was surprised when he felt (Y/N)’s arms wrap around his waist. His cheeks grew warm and his mind raced. He fell in love with how warm and comforting she was pressed up against his bare chest, the way their skin exchanged heat. He never wanted this moment to end nor did he ever realize how much he wanted to experience this. Namor never received a hug except if it was one from his mother. For the first time in 500 years, he had felt an act of love and intimacy.
“I’m sorry, Namor. I will cherish this as long as I am... With you.”
It was a surprise to her that she’d even say that. Well, you can always expect the unexpected when you’re taken away by a king from under the sea, right?
(Y/N) broke the hug and stood up, extending her arm out to Namor, “Please, take me to see your city. I would love to see it.”
Namor’s hand hesitated before wrapping around hers, pulling her close, “Of course, in yakunaj.”
Then they disappeared into the abyss of the water that was on the edge of the cave. He never let go of (Y/N) on the trip down to Talokan.
Princess Shuri is sitting on a secluded Wakandan beach enjoying the ocean breeze when her eyes make four with a beautiful bronzed man with winged ankles, clad in vibranium adornments emerging from the water. He approaches cautiously with curiosity and awe placating his face. The two make their introductions and become immediately enamoured with each other. For the next couple weeks they secretly rendezvous at that same beach to spend time talking and being with each other. This is a blissful period for them both until Namor, the feathered serpent God of the depths proclaims it’s not enough to temporarily see Shuri for a couple hours every day. Willing to risk everything, Namor asks her to come away with him to Talokan. At first Shuri hesitates until he says it’ll only be for a tour of his kingdom and he’ll bring her back. She agrees and the two leave for Talokan.
It’s been 2 weeks since the Princess of Wakanda has be abducted according to the Queen who caught a glimpse of her daughter being escorted away into the ocean. Queen Ramonda stands on the very same beach, up in arms over her daughter’s kidnapping. She’s adamant she will get her daughter back by any means necessary and summons the King of the depths for a negotiation.
“How dare you abduct the Princess of Wakanda. You are aware this can be seen as an act of war?!” Queen Ramonda hissed.
“The Princess consented and she requested to be taken to Talokan. She will remain there for the time being.” Namor maintained his composure further irritating the already flustered Queen.
Queen Mother took a deep breath before posing her inquisition, “What can I offer you in exchange for my daughter’s return?”
Namor smiled cynically. “Nothing.” He stood his ground satiated by the fact that the only thing — or person rather — that he wanted was already secured and sat safely waiting for him back in Talokan.
The Queen bolstered her stance and scoffed, glaring at the King of the Depths. “I beg to differ.” She spat. With tight fists forming she continued, “If you do not return my daughter immediately, I will send my entire army after you and your hidden kingdom. I will retrieve my daughter by any means necessary.”
Namor’s composure came to an immediate halt as he swiftly enclosed the distance between them. Queen Ramonda could sense the fury welling within him, waiting for the opportune moment to rabidly unleash itself. She felt her stomach flip as the words dripped from his mouth like venom.
“If you try to find us, I will wash Wakanda off the face of the Earth. I will not hesitate to kill you if you so much as think about putting a ship on the ocean.”

(Y/N)’s eyes opened. Her eyes took their time to adjust to the dark lit cave that had been lit by only the glow worms. The caves of the walls were a midnight blue, the glow worms turquoise reflecting onto them. Air, crisp and cold, entered her nose, getting sucked up into her lungs and brought to her slow beating heart. (Y/N) realized that she was not at the beach anymore. Her rental was gone, replaced by the new chamber holding her.
“I see you are awake, in yakanaj.”
Right across from her bed was Namor, staring at her. Ever since he brought her here, he watched her sleep and savored every moment of it. The admiration of how peaceful she looked; her soft breaths; her beautiful hair that fell in front of her face while asleep. Everything about her was gorgeous to him. And Namor knew it from the second he laid eyes on her that one fateful day as few months ago.
(Y/N)’s pupils enlarged when she recognized the King that has kidnapped her away from the beach yesterday. Had it already been a day since it happened? It seemed that the sirens song of the Talokani soldiers made her fall into a long deep sleep. Namor requested that so he can get up close and memorize the art that was her face– her existence.
“Where am I, Namor?” (Y/N) said in a quiet tone, yet it held much venom hiding in it.
Namor hissed to himself at that name. He hated hearing his beloved calling him that name. Hoping that it wouldn’t be that name for any longer. He walked towards her and sat on the edge of her bed, “You are here in Talokan. My kingdom.”
(Y/N)’s heart sank into her stomach. His kingdom? She’d only heard him mention that he was a king and had his people; never realized that he was actually being serious. However, she quietly studied him with her eyes; the gorgeous golden arm bands and the admirable golden and red clock that draped from around his neck down to his back.
“I don’t.. I don’t even know you. I wanna go back to my rental. In fact, I-I really wish to go home..” (Y/N) said before looking down. In the back of her mind, she didn’t know if she would ever be able to leave this place. This man who took her away from land. The man who took her away from any chance of living her normal life ever again. Doubt clouded her mind.
A low grunt emanated from his throat. Namor had spent so much time planning out a way to get her. He wanted her no matter what it cost. And he was not going to let his precious (Y/N) leave him. Ever since Namor laid eyes on her, he had never-ending fantasies. From her being crowned as the queen as Talokan, touching her skin and hearing her desirable noises, her carry his babies. He so desperately wanted to live out those things he dreamt of.
“My love, you are very deep in the ocean right now. You are lucky you are not down there in the depths where the pressure would crush your body. I am sparing you here till you are able to breathe underwater. Then once you are there, you will spend every waking moment there. Never leaving my side and ruling the deep with me as my one and only Queen.”
(Y/N) inched further away from Namor, scared of what he would do to her. The only comforting thing to her was the pillow that was pressed up to her rather small back due to her short stature compared to his.
“I don’t want to rule with you! I want to go back to my job on land! This isn’t where I’m supposed to be!”
Namor didn’t say much after that. He knew that it would take time and he was gonna take as much time as needed to seduce her into staying with him.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
(Y/N)’s mind wandered as she sat in the quiet cave where her bed resided. She felt so isolated from the world. Perhaps she was trapped down here forever. Stuck with an insane King who wanted to possess her forever.
But the mind wandering had been dangerous. She couldn’t ignore the way she felt when she looked at Namor; his body, his everything. (Y/N) wouldn’t deny how much she wished this was a different circumstance. Would she have gone on a date with him if he just politely asked? Yes. Absolutely. He was the most gorgeous man she had ever seen in her entire existence. Namor was a lost jewel to her that just happened to poison her when touched. A forbidden jewel.
It was extremely uncommon for anyone to make her feel this way. She’d always been hesitant about heading head-first into a relationship. (Y/N)’s friends would always come to her about their relationship issues, which just ended up making her not interested in pursuing any until she graduated college. Well, there was one exception, but it ended badly. And she prefers keeping it in the back of her mind.
GROWLLLL
“So hungry…”
(Y/N)’s stomach growled from the lack of food she even ate. She was scared of eating the foreign fruit from here. You can’t just take random food from strangers! At least that’s what she heard throughout her life. Horrific tales of women’s drinks and foods being laced with drugs before being whisked away against their will.
Before she knew it, Namor popped out from the darkness with a bowl of fruits in his hand. (Y/N)’s eyes looked out at him, a spark emanating from inside her. Food!
“I heard your hunger from a bit away, jats'uts.”
Namor had offered it, extending it out to her with his arm. She went to reach into the bowl of fruits before it was snatched away from her as quickly as given. (Y/N) gave him a weird look out of confusion, raising her eyebrows. Why would he take it from her?
He leaned in close to her as he sat on the bed. “You can have your food, but promise me you won’t ignore me anymore, my queen.”
(Y/N) found it hard to ignore the pet names he’d casually throw into his quips to her. No one had ever acted like this toward her before, nonetheless someone with feelings for her! Always stolen glances and slight of hands, but this wasn’t that: it was more.
“I-I promise… Namor..”
(Y/N) struggled to even speak to him. Her hunger was keeping her from doing much and her chest fell down, making contact with her lap. One of her hands wrapped around her stomach as she let out a few groans.
Namor smirked to himself. He knew his plan would work and he set down the fruits onto the silk covers. His hand raised above her shoulder to pet it, but he hesitated for a second. Would she even want to be touched after being starved for so long? He didn’t have long to think as (Y/N)’s hand clenched around the bowl and she hungrily bit into the fruits.
The sweet flavors sank into the tastebuds on her tongue. She thought that these had a similar taste to the ones on land she enjoyed, but these were so much better. So much more natural; authentic; real.
Some fruit skin and its juice hung out from her lips. Some it a red color that rushed down her chin and to her neck. It almost looked like blood was running down her. Namor was glad it wasn’t. Sure, he kidnapped her, but he didn’t wanna see her hurt. He would never forgive himself if (Y/N) was hurt in his trust.
Once she was finished chowing down on the exotic fruits, she lifted her head up, a blush dancing across her cheeks from embarrassment. (Y/N) had never eaten like this in front of anyone before! Especially in front of a King? It was over for her. At least that’s what the anxious thoughts in her head said.
Some of her (H/C) hair hung in front of her eyes and Namor chuckled. He really thought she was cute at this moment. His brown, calloused hand reached close to her face and gently pushed the strands behind her ear.
“I’m glad you enjoyed those. We grow these here in Talokan under our sun.”
(Y/N)’s head slightly tilted, “Sun?”
Namor nodded and took her hand in his. “We used vibranium to create technology that would give my people the sun. It never fails to make their days brighter and helps grow our crops.”
Her pupils grew in size out of fascination and wonder. A sun underwater? Insane and something she never believed to be possible.
Namor took (Y/N)’s hand up to his lips, kissing it.
“But your beauty outshines the sun, In yakunaj.”
Before she could respond, (Y/N) let out a shriek as she felt intense chills surge over her back and all along her body. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up. They signaled that something was wrong. Something out of place for her, a normal human. Or so she thought.
Her hand wiped away at the already dried-up, colorful juices that were all over her (S/C) chin. A purple liquid was dried up on her finger. She looked at Namor with a puzzled look before collapsing onto her bed. (Y/N) writhed around in pain, closing her eyes . It was uncomfortable and unnerving for her. She had never felt like this before.
It felt like ice-cold liquid was surging through her veins that were drowning her from inside. She really felt like this was the end for her. Or so she thought…
The pain had stopped and she was left, inhaling deep breaths that felt cleaner to (Y/N). This wasn’t normal. What happened to her?
Namor sat on the bed fully next to her, crossing his legs together and leaning his taller shoulder against her shorter one. His brown hand lingered its touch across her skin as he felt slight ripples along it.
“It worked.”
(Y/N) shot her distressed eyes in his direction, clearly confused. What did he know that she didn’t?
His passionate eyes stared into hers as a smile etched at the side of his mouth, “In order to become my queen, you had to go through some changes. I wouldn’t want you to drown and be crushed by the pressure of the depths, no?” (Y/N) shook her head in response, “Though, based on the fact that you’re still able to breathe now… You must be a mutant.”
“Mutant? I thought I was normal. What even is that!?”
Namor took a second to respond and let one of the hands grasp onto hers, drawing circles on it with his touch. They trailed down to her veins and traced them.
“The X-gene. It’s what gave me the ability to breathe on land and underwater. Additionally, giving me my pointed ears and wings on my feet.” She glanced down at his feet and saw one of the wings had a scar on it. “It is in all of us, but I was born a mutant. The herb must have activated your gene.”
Namor’s hand wandered back up to hers, wrapping it around the small, delicate fingers. It was in an effort to comfort her. He hid underwater for so many years that he didn’t even know if humanity accepted mutants at this point. When he was alive and had once wandered along land to observe the surface dwellers, they pointed at his mutant traits and screamed at him for being a monster. That day, he had never walked onto land anymore. Only his people accepted him for who he was. And he hoped that (Y/N) would as well since she was a mutant too.
(Y/N) couldn’t lie. She had only faintly heard of mutations in small whispers along online forums she’d glance at when she was bored. She remembered all the comments of fear from the anonymous mutants. But she always noticed someone by the username of “X” replying to their comments and posts. Though she was never bothered to read those responses.
Namor scooted behind her and wrapped his arms around her torso, pulling her close to him.
“You were made for me. I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t have you, in reina.”
There are two blogs that Tumblr couldn't find to add to the taglist @alphmoon666 and @ohantonia. So I'll message you guys, the link isn't working. If you want me to stop at any point, just holla and I will.
"Kukulcan. What is it?"
"Nothing my child."
"Then with your permission, I will leave for my mission," Namora says.
"Go."
Where can she be? It is the only thought consuming Namor as he leaves the throne room, descending down the winding steps to the room he hides from the world.
Going inside, glow worms illuminate the shrine. He has built quite the collection now. Pieces of (Y/N). Pieces that in no way make up the full picture. Strands of her (H/C) hair, the lily she dropped at her mother's funeral sits preserved in wax, the lyrics of that song she keeps singing. Nothing big enough for her to miss it. But sometimes when he cannot sleep, he comes down here, to these poorly drawn images he has made of her. He's gotten better with the drawing. He cannot even stomach the thought of someone else picturing what she looks like, so he has never asked someone else to draw her for him.
There's another song she sings a lot. He doesn't know what it's called. But it goes something like
"It's been a long day without you my friend, and I'll tell you all about it when I see you again . . ." That's the only line he knows. But it captures perfectly how empty it feels without (Y/N).
Deep down, he knows his people should be his obsession. Their safety and well-being his every thought. Then why does can he not shift her face from his mind? Why does he steal as many hours of sleep as he can, just for the chance to encounter this woman?

"What happened to your mama?"
"Can't you just go inside my head and read my memories?" (Y/N) snaps as Chimal leaps a wall ten feet at a time. She seems to know where she is going. What she is doing. It's just a damn shame she never shuts up.
"That's not how this works," Chimal huffs as she lands with a grunt and takes off running. "And you might be a little bit more grateful you know? It's not easy moving undetected through Wakanda. If you keep me entertained, I won't have to talk so much, and we'll be more likely to move without being heard."
"Can't you just keep quiet?" (Y/N) asks.
A big exhalation. "I don't like silence. It reminds me too much of home." She seems to consider something before the tension falls from her eyes and she continues with a shaky smile. "But enough of that. What happened to your mama? I know all about Daddyo. But you never talk about her."
"Chimal, can I be honest? Woman to woman so to speak? I appreciate you doing all of this, but let's just say this isn't the first time I've had contact with a, and don't take this the wrong way, your kind. I don't trust you."
"Not all spirits are like that . . ."
"I have yet to see evidence to the contrary."
"I'm helping you!"
"You took control of my body without so much as a by your leave!"
"There wasn't time . . ."
"There never is. You're just like him."
It's forbidden to ask about previous possessions. Each spirit has their own journey, their own mission, and they should not be concerned with paths other than their own. It's bad professionalism. Nevertheless, Chimal cannot help but ask.
"What was his name?" There's one rule out the window.
"He didn't leave a calling card, he left a mark. I barely got out of it with my head still intact. My left arm."
Chimal lifts her arm. And it feels, if one can survive such a feeling, like being ran over by one of those human vehicles called a truck. "You got possessed by Khios?!"

in pixamech - my angel
in amado - my beloved
I left my bedroom in the Wakanda palace. Shuri and Queen Romanda took me in after my home, the Alumid Kingdom was attacked in the middle of the night. I remember waking to the attacks and seeing a mysterious figure in the sky. It seemed that he was looking down at me, but I couldn’t see his face nor any distinguishing features in the darkness. Shuri let me know when she came that an attack came on the radar and when they came to investigate me, they found me passed out on the ground with a bracelet adorned with beautiful jewels around my wrist. I really had not many memories of that night besides the destruction of my kingdom and the deaths of my people around me. You see, I was the princess and future heir to the throne. It was something that shook me to my core, but I accepted my place and prepared daily for it, in case something were to happen to my father.
My bare feet walked along the hallways of the palace, stopping in at Shuri’s lab. She turned around and saw me, a smile painting her face, “(Y/N)! Did you sleep well?”
“Hmm.. I guess. Still not feeling great after seeing everything I loved lost to an attack.”
A sympathetic expression appeared on her face, seeing me down in the dumps mentally. The memories just couldn’t stop playing in my head. I still wondered what had occurred to make us targeted for such an attack. And I couldn’t ask my father because he died before I even could.
“I’m sorry (Y/N).. I understand that feeling of loss. The lost of my brother is something that still affects me, even after a year later. I miss him so much. I can still feel him all around me, yet I still blame myself for not being able to save him,” Shuri’s hand rubbed my back with comfort. “Don’t go down the path I did. Mourn your loss freely and build up a strong support system. You are welcome to stay here and recover till then.”
Her comforting words made me smile and I looked up at her, giving a soft smile. “Thank you for being there to rescue me.”
I inched my hand towards hers and held it. Shuri made me feel safe, like no one else could hurt me. I still can’t believe I’m still here, and alive today.
“(Y/N), if I may ask, did you see anything that night? Like who destroyed your kingdom?”
I thought back to that night. Since it was close to midnight, it was hard to tell. The only thing I could make out in the darkness was people with blue skin and a mask over their mouths. They speared my people. I couldn’t get the blood curdling screams out of my brain.
“Princess, run! Get out of here!”
The memories of their voices hurt my head. It was like a virus in my body that had no antibiotic. No way to get it out of there. It would be stuck inside there, slowly killing me.
“I only remember.. The blue people with masks over their mouths. They were speaking a language I couldn’t quite understand. And.. the figure in the sky. They looked human, but they couldn’t be. They were flying!”
I saw Shrui’s eyes widen at my words. Something she definitely knew but I had to ask. “Shuri? Do you know what I saw?”
Shuri hesitated. her words stuck in her throat. I didn’t know what was going on inside her head, but I was certain that it wasn’t anything good.
“I don’t know what you saw either..”
I knew she was lying, but I accepted her answer either way. If there was one thing I would never do, it was to force something out of someone. It would be too much..
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
It was later that night and I decided to leave my room once more, venturing down to a nearby beach on the shores of Wakanda. The only thing that could calm me down was the sound of the crashing waves and the chirps of the crickets that sang in the night.
Looking out at the sea reminded me of how free it was down there. No invasion. No destruction. Just pure peace and tranquility.
I couldn’t ignore that bracelet that adorned my wrist from the moment I awoke after the destruction. My fingers stroked over the jewels and the smooth gold. It was jewels I had never seen before from my kingdom. Rare green colors of emeralds and topaz. It amazed me that I even had it on my body in the first place.
My ears picked up some ripples from the water and I looked at it with curiosity. What emerged from the water was something I least expected. It was a man with brown skin, pointed ears, well trimmed facial hair, and angelic wings on his feet. I couldn’t tell if he was an angel or devil in my eyes.
I scooted back away from the water, my bottom brushing up against the cold sand. He had gotten close to me before placing both feet on the ground, “Up close to you finally, In pixamech “
His language didn’t translate much and my breath caught in my throat. The oxygen refused to come out because I had an odd feeling about him.
“And you are?”
My bracelet around my wrist seemed to grow much tighter as he got closer. A smirk appeared out of the corner of his mouth before he took a deep breath, “K’uk’ulkan, King of Talokan, but my enemies call me Namor. And you are Princess (Y/N) of Alumid.”
My heart sank to my stomach hearing him know who I was. That silhouette came to mind.. Everything about his physical outline matched the person who had looked down upon me as my kingdom was destroyed, left to ruins. It was him!
“..You.. Were you the one who brought destruction upon my kingdom!” The bracelet tightened around my wrist when my fury came out. The reaction came when I leapt towards him. But before I could, the sting of it stopped me.
I couldn’t help but look at Namor’s face. A dark chuckle was let out of his throat at the sight of me not being able to fight back nor take him down.
“And it was so easy to get you out of there.. If I had just came in there and taken you, my people would have been in danger, no? And it’s easier to capture you when you aren’t close to the earth elements, in amado.”
I struggled to even speak and I looked around, trying to find any way to fight him back. As much as I loved the sea, I couldn’t use its elements to defend me. I was useless the way I was now.
A few tears shed down my face as I fell onto my knees, hopeless, “Y-You’re a monster..” Before I knew it, I felt his knuckles wrap around my chin and pull my face towards his, him kneeling down as well.
“You call me a monster, but the real monsters are those you surround yourself with.”
Namor took out a mask and held it over my face while the bracelet began stinging and tightening me even more. Then it was dark.
