Alpha //Open// Halloween RPs
(Yo, I’ve been slacking on my drafts and stuff, and I honestly meant to write at least one full Halloween open starter like, over a week ago. Buuut that didn’t happen. Obviously anything started on the day of Halloween will likely extend way beyond that, but if you’re okay with that, I sure am! I thought up a few scenarios that might be interesting. If anybody wants to play them out with me, OR if you have any ideas yourself, just message me or tag me in a starter!)
Haunted Home: Never once since the fall of Oval Tower did Alpha return to the structure. He couldn’t bear to traipse through its ruins. Finally, now, he has summoned the courage to visit his old home. Your muse follows him (out of curiosity? Suspicion? Concern?); whether or when you make your presence known is your choice. What is left of the building is dark, unstable, and who knows what baleful ghosts or malevolent secrets still lurk, hidden in its empty spaces?
Resident Evil: Unbeknownst to almost all, Oval Tower had an expansive secret basement, where all the most heinous tests and experiments were conducted. The basement was not destroyed in the collapse, and it’s possible the things within are still alive. Alpha investigates (followed by your muse?), but is his mission to eliminate what lives within, or to release? ...And which would save or endanger the most lives?
(Dis)Possessed: Even if he lost, Toue never intended to leave the world passively or without consequence. Built into every single Toue Inc.-produced A.I. life form is a tiny receiver, created to intercept a specific signal emitted by a transmitter in Oval Tower. This signal is required to keep the robots’ behavior in line, remaining as stable, passive, or obedient as programmed. As a failsafe, every A.I. can go for a certain amount of time without consequence without receiving the signal. However, if the transmitter is destroyed, it’s only a matter of time before all the machines start to go haywire. The time is now. Alpha (and perhaps your muse’s allmate?) is starting to lose his sense, his mind becoming muddled, and violent instincts, an urge to attack, becoming stronger and stronger. This is Toue’s revenge.
Ghoulish: Once sent offline by Clear’s song, Alpha and Alpha 2 were caught in the fall of Oval Tower. The former was destroyed beyond repair, but Alpha survived, to eventually wake up in the rubble. He was not without injury or malfunction, however. Bits of skin that had been destroyed will no longer heal, his mind and vision fuzz with static, and his behavior is erratic. He lives in the remains of his home, broken, almost feral. Encounter at your own risk.
Bad End: Toue has won. He’s taken over the island, and your muse has become one of the experimental pets kept in captivity in Oval Tower. Alpha (and Alpha 2?) has been designated to be your keeper (whether occasionally, temporarily, or permanently), and he can’t help but toy with you for entertainment.
