Munich airport must have some beers in their duty free, right? Right they have! You’ll see there some classics like Erdinger and Franziskaner, even a few bottles of Hirsch and little party barrels of Löwenbräu, so the expectations were exactly right. Not forgetting the canned quest, of course. What I chose instead was a biological beer named after some historical criminal figure Heinz von Stein “the wild” I wasn’t bothered to google about. The beer is a dark wheat slightly sweet one and not very special at anything. Now drinking it after a whole trip didn’t do anything to help develop its aroma but still I would have expected more from a Bavarian beer. Still ok though. There was also a salty “Brez’n” to accompany it, just like it ought to be. All in all the only thing I missed was the recently closed Dallmayr shop where you could have got all kinds of special foody items. Eh, some other time.
