I found Iris’s tumblr ( @dark-muse-iris ) a few years ago when I started getting into BTS. When I read her stories, she was going by the name jeonjagiya. She’s one of my favorite writers, and we have a decent amount in common in general, as well.
The first writing I read of hers was Transference, which is an extremely popular one. I’ve also been keeping up with Daisies and Dinosaurs, and read a few of her Working Man Bangtan stories.
Quick Review (fics linked to AO3)
Transference is one of those stories that you immerse yourself in. At first, tantric therapist Hoseok seemed like a simple man, doing his job and enjoying the perks. As the story goes, though, you realize he has a complicated past, and it leaks into his relationship with the reader. The reader is related to me, showing how it feels to be overworked, underappreciated, and just done with it all. The sex scenes are fantastic, showing a more realistic side than other writings I may find.
Daisies and Dinosaurs seems to be more of a ‘family friendly’ story, although any reader of Iris’s know some sexy things will be going on later. As a father, Namjoon not only has to handle his precocious little girl, but also has to deal with personal things as well. The connection between Namjoon and the reader is obvious, but their past seems to make it complicated.
Working Man Bangtan brings the members of BTS into a different light, associating them with blue collar type of jobs. Closed Circuit is my favorite because it seems to fit right with my personal likes and kinks. I’m looking forward to Namjoon and Hoseok’s stories!
