she  wasn't  the  type  to  forget  a  face,  even  if  she'd  gone  years  without  seeing  said  face.  they  went  to  school  together.  their  parents  ran  in  similar  circles.  holly  approached  her  slowly,  kind  smile  spread  across  her  features.  they  might  not  have  been  extremely  close  or  anything,  but  no  bad  blood  existed  between  them,  either.  they'd  simply  lost  touch,  and  there  was  nothing  wrong  with  that.  it  happened,  she  was  well  aware  of  that.

“  blair,  hi,  ”  she  greeted  the  other.  “  i  haven't  seen  you  in  a  long  time.  ”  the  announcement  wasn't  necessary,  but  it  slipped  out  before  she  could  stop  it.  she  wouldn't  ask  how  the  other  was  doing,  though,  considering  she'd  heard  about  what  happened  to  her  brother.  it  felt  like  the  question  would  be  foolish  to  ask.  “  what  have  you  been  up  to  ?  ”  it  felt  like  a  more  safe  question  to  ask  than  the  one  most  people  went  for,  even  when  they  knew  the  answer.

he sat staring out a window, a glass of bourbon in his hand. the last couple of weeks had been tough on everyone and while he did mourn the loss of his friend, he was ready to fire back. the longer they waited, the more it gave the impression that the pentavita were weak and that could not happen. when he heard footsteps, he turned, eyes meeting cassius. "so...have you decided what we're doing? my offer still stands..."
