The demons seemed to follow Laura wherever she went. After slaughtering so many of them, she supposed that was to be expected. If they had her sense of smell they would notice the guts on her Wolverine costume, an odour that she had not been able to wash out. It was a nuisance, but within a few weeks, she would need to replace this costume. She went through Wolverine suits on a regular basis, always tearing the fabric to the point of no repair. If Hank resented it in the slightest, he had never commented. Laura was unsure whether that was out of respect for the excellent work she was doing or because he did not have energy for the battle. Ultimately, it was irrelevant as long as Hank willingly replaced her suit.
As the demons swarmed her and Ty, she glanced towards him, aware that he had mentioned that the demons were difficult for him to dispose of. Arching an eyebrow, Laura retracted her claws and lowered into a fighting stance. “If you would like to watch, you can take videos for the X-Men’s instagram. Dagger mentioned that she would like to feature me on it.” At the mention of his girlfriend — Laura had smelled Tandy on him — she assumed that Ty would soften. It was a tactical reminder that fighting the demons was risking his life, especially without Dagger present. “I promise this will only take me a minute,” Laura added before lunging at one of the demons, slicing cleanly through his scales.
