i didn’t believe y’all when y’all said “leigh hates the darkling” but reading row is making me really rethink that ....😬😬😬

how did we go from this:

to bringing the darkling back in kos for fake fan service only to bash us with it and ultimately have it do nothing for the story???

i’m a grishaverse multishipper and i ship alina with most people in og trilogy, but the story is about darklina. without flirting with the dark, literally, we would just have a friends to lovers mal/ina romance where they defeat the big bad in the end! there would be no romantic drama! darklinas were the fandom in the beginning, and obviously it’s not a great thing that mal/lina’s always had to be in the minority and therefore bashed (which i definitely don’t approve of), but the fandom was majority darklina before six of crows. we bought the books! we made the fanart! we blew up the series!! what the fuck, leigh!?

i’m just...this is so infuriating. i wish the darkling had stayed dead in r&r. i was really fucking nervous when he was brought back in kos, and i should have kept trusting my gut and not allowed myself to hope. that ending in r&r was beautiful.
