Nine windows!
Two square windows in the front that look like a face when the door shutters in the wind like an open mouth.
A secret window in the back, for thieves. Accessible by rose trellis.
An octagonal window in the attic, for looking out at night and dreaming when the trap door disappears and I am sometimes stuck for weeks.
A window on the east side of the house, which lets in the morning sun. Whenever it is shut, the birds fly into the glass. So we keep it open all the time. Lately the birds have been getting bigger. I am afraid we are only encouraging them.
There are four windows in the turret, but I've never found a way in. I sometimes hear voices stomping up it's stairwells.
