Merlin woke earlier then usual and couldn’t go back to sleep. He attempted to rub the sleep out of his eyes and glanced at the alarm next to his bed, 6:13. He reluctantly stood up and walked into his kitchen. Today was Saturday, which also meant he didn’t have work. One thing that he had to do was go to the grocery store. That trip couldn’t be postponed any longer. Especially when he went to go make himself coffee, and couldn’t find any. Breakfast was also postponed; he had run out of milk last night, cereal was not an option this sunny morning.
By 7:30 he had showered, gotten dressed, and finished his book from yesterday. All he had left to do was eat something. The grocery store opened in thirty minutes so he still had a few minutes to kill. Rather then wait at home he grabbed his car keys and decided to get coffee from wherever was closest. Soon it was eight and the young man found himself pushing a cart into the store with his coffee in one hand.
He didn’t exactly enjoy shopping, for anything, food or clothing. His plan was to get in and get out as fast as possible. Just as he was getting the last item on his list, he practically ran over a dark haired, young lady. He quickly apologized and found himself blushing slightly, of course he had to run into a stunning woman at 8 in the morning. He stuttered out another apology, “S-sorry about that. Wasn’t paying attention to where I was going.”
