he was not so much fazed by the stranger’s unanticipated company, but rather, what they had asked of him. do you have a crush on someone? he mentally repeats to himself, spending the next ten seconds (or so, he’s assuming) staring at the man, attempting to assimilate the possible reason behind such an unusual inquiry. unusual in the sense that they were not friends; were not even acquittances. so, for them to be curious of his “love” life, the immortal could not seem to understand why. 

however, he does consider four plausible rationales. 

one: they’re nosy. two: they’re bored.three: they’re just plain lonely, desperate for any kind of human interaction.four: or they’re an enemy hoping he’s naive enough to spill the truth, so they could use it against him. 

whichever of the four it may be, he chooses not to waste his time brooding over something that will mean nothing to him once the night ends. taeyong stuffs his hands into his pockets, fingers habitually curling into loose fists within its confinements as he gives the stranger one, curt shrug before he steps off to the right, making his way around them to proceed towards the trek he previously left walked. “whether i do or don’t, don’t worry about it. my personal life has nothing to do with you whatsoever, so do me a favor, kid, and keep your nose out of my business.”
