"Hello, is anyone there?"
Little Animal - Deer
The Cupid peered at the young deer, spotted in pattern. It was curled up at the base of a tree, sleeping silently while it’s mom grazed, far enough away that she wouldn’t lead predators to her child. She gave it a quick scratch behind the ears, knowing her scent wouldn’t make the mother reject it, and continued on. She was hunting, it was true, but she had no desire to kill a baby of any species.
(Darkrose gets snuggles because she was in my askbox but it was a reply so I can't do that from there)
"Where have you been, love!" Annamore grabbed the young Boggan, pulling her into her arms and snuggling her with as much force as she could muster. "I've missed you so much!"
Clipped Wings and Blunted Thorns
Boggans. They got old, fast. Not all of them were bad, Annamore knew. But the bulk of them? Well, she had started carrying a quiver full of the same arrows the Leafmen used ever since she shrunk down. She didn't need her magic arrows as much, of late. But even with the dangers all around, now, it was hard to get away from her three thousand years of being independent. She didn't feel she needed to bring back up for a flight... And sometimes it got her into trouble.
Like tonight. She'd gotten used to fighting off small groups of Boggan scouts - but this wasn't a group of scouts. This was an ambush.
She'd shot down probably seven or eight before they finally overwhelmed her, one getting an arrow through her wing, sending her crashing down onto a branch with a pained yell. Before she could get her feet back under her, they were on her, punching, kicking, ripping feathers and hair in their brutal rage, ignoring her cries of agony as she felt things shatter in her body. Finally, the pain was too much and darkness relieved her.

"Alright, alright--I've had enough of this." He turned to the shadows of the building he took sanctuary in with a growl. "I don't like being sneaked on so come on out."
He was more than worried at what he would encounter when the Phoenix Gate would whisk him away to whatever world, universe that he would be unfortunate enough to be thrown into.

O///A///O “My… hair?”
"Well yeah, it's pretty!"
Encounter between the teeth of a Gargoyle Beast
Broadway had patrolled the city, and he and the others had found all was well. No sign of Demona, Macbeth, or any of the Hunter's out there that had vowed to destroy them. For once, things seemed fine in the island of Manhattan. Strange, but it gave them a chance to have a night for themselves. Broadway landed on the balcony with the others, as Lex dispersed to go test out a new gadget he had been working on, while Bronx was still on the rail, having a problem with something in his mouth. Was something behind his jaw? "Bronx, open your mouth." The gargoyle beast growled a bit, before reluctantly the gargoyle pried open his mouth. Broadway spotted something, like a little person. A doll? No, this was alive. Cupping the creature in his claw, he pulled it out of Bronx's mouth and opened his claw, looking down at it.
Annamore was cursing relentlessly as she flew, going as fast as she could. Every time she thought she’d lost her pursuers, more would show up. And they all seemed ready for her - this was obviously no ordinary Boggan ambush.
What she didn't get was why they weren't shooting at her, why they seemed content to just take turns chasing her. Then it hit her like a barrage of arrows - they were trying to take her alive. They were too organized to be normal, and they were too persistent. With a low growl she turned around to try to shoot her way out of the group behind her, hoping to throw them off by doing something unexpected. Unfortunately, that allowed others to close in and fill the gaps opened by the Boggans she shot down.
When one of them tossed a net over her, she about lost it in anger, biting and clawing at the nasty rope of the net, unable to move her wings against the weight of it. "That won't help you, my dear. You're going to be my... Guest... For a while."
With a start she turned her head towards the voice, ceasing her struggling while she tried to figure out who was talking. "What do you want with me?" She asked, trying to sound intimidating despite her circumstances.
"You'll see." He smirked, grabbing the net and hauling her up onto his grackle. "Kick enough and I'll let you drop." He warned as they flew back to Wrathwood.
Once there he cut the net from her, wrapping his hand around her throat and pushing her against the wall, looming over her with a twisted grin on his face, "I have a wonderful present for you, little bird." The sight of his face so close to hers made her panic, as she struggled to remove his hand from her throat, beating him with her wings. "Let. Me. Go!"
She clocked him with her wing, making him sigh, "No one ever respects my hospitality." He muttered as he turned his head and nodded to one of his minions. Moments later she found one of her wings held still, a pair of scissors cutting through her red flight feathers on one wing. After that was done, he dragged her down the hall and shoved her into a room. Staring into it, she realized that it wasn't a prison cell. It was a nursery. Two little boggan girls were playing in the room, which was filled with odd toys. She recognized one of them, but instead of greeting them, she looked back at Mandrake, "What the heck is this?"
"You're the new nanny. Have fun." He walked out of the room, leaving her alone with the two girls. "Ah... Hi?"
