Bittersweet
Last night was fecking freeeeeeezing and I've been hearing rumours of impending snow and thus, tonight I sleep with the window closed! (NB: for those who know me understand why this is a big deal!) However, moving on to the subject of my current employment I am happy to say that I'm getting the hang of it. Today seemed to drag a little which can only be a good thing as it means I'm starting to get less flustered over the smallest detail and just taking it in my stride. It also probably helped that I had a day off yesterday and slept like a rock last night (bloody cold toes). Although the 5hr shift dragged a tad, I couldn't help but laugh to myself while I was "bagging" tomorrows new game releases. Why was I finding this amusing? Simples! It was because, the more cases I opened, the fewer people would experience the euphoria of that "new" smell you get with a brand new game as I had stolen it >:D I'm pretty sure at one point I pulled a Grinch grin too :3 Still, all was good today as I found out EVERY shift I get is only a maximum of 5hrs. This works for me... as much as I like my new job, anything more may actually cause my head to implode. I was also invited to the christmas party which is awesome as I've only been there for 3 days! However, it's also, kinda sucky as it's ONLY employees who are allowed to go but, there is a free bar but, it's nowhere near me so I'd need transport but, I'll probably have the next day off etc... You get the idea. Swings and round-a-bouts! I've got a really horrible feeling I'm gonna be working some seriously suck-ass times over the next few weeks. Today there was talk of Boxing day and New Years day which in all honesty, bite large donkey balls to work as everyone is so hungover, you can get drunk just breathing the same air! New years would be sucky, I'd be three parts dead as I've decided 2011 is going to be booze free for me and will be sending 2010 off with a torrent of alcoholic abuse! Anyway, enuff jabbering from me, BRING ON THE TRUMPETS! -B-
