How was your time in S.Korea?
It would take me so long to tell about every memory, but if I summarize it: it was incredibly adventurous time in my life that I would never give up.
I really came to love Seoul so much, itās completely different in transportation structure than where Iām from, and Iāve never felt so easily connected to every part of an ENTIRE CITY than when I was there. If I could live there simply for the ease of getting around and being anywhere I need to be so conveniently, I would in a heartbeat. I loved living in that city.
I met a countless number of people I became close friends with there from all over the world, not just Korea. A particularly loved friend of mine lives in Seoul, and I hope Iām able to see him again soon, heās a great person ):Ā
Experiencing a different countryās culture is obviously an adventure of its own, and given how long I was there (about five months exactly) Iām so glad I was able to see so many placed! I went to outer cities of Seoul, Busan, Gwanjgu, Andong, Dong-Daegu, Incheon, and Ilsan (which Ilsan was my favorite short trip, the lake park there is so beautiful, Iād live there just to walk to that park omg). I tried a ton of food, and, like, of course i drank a lot but like tbh i hate soju and makeoli is where itās at 10000% but anywaysĀ
I think the most striking thing to me and my favorite part of Korea was the Han river. I joke with @yoonsgiggle about wanting to jump into it a lot askdjlfhg BUT itās honestly the most beautiful body of water Iāve ever seen; I went there so many times while I was in Korea to see it. And also, I could walk basically anywhere in that city at any time of day or night and I never felt threatened, that was more freeing than I couldāve imagined (thx america[but also please donāt be mislead, obviously anywhere in the world crime happens but i just know i never felt particularly nervous walking around the metro area and iām talking like 1am by myself]) and
YEAH I really loved Korea. If it wasnāt a 15 hour flight from home that costs like $2k roundtrip, I would 100% want to live there, itās wonderful.
