What about Clarabell for the headcannon thing?

Headcanon A:  realistic

clarabelle is autistic! 

she’s vaguely aware of it/has suspicions, but has never been properly diagnosed because of her sporadic upbringing. she never had issues with depression until she lost her remnant and realised she’d murdered kenspeckle, so she tended to get overlooked and just sort of floated through life in her own little world, ageing out of the care system and then bouncing from job to job until she wandered into the hibernian, and that was the first real stability she had & it did her a lot of good

once she moves into a houseshare with scapegrace and thrasher, she’s suffering a lot over kenspeckle’s death, and between them they get her to seek help. scapegrace arranges her doctors appointments and reminds her to take her mood pills every morning & thrasher goes with her once a week to an art therapy class. he sucks at it and clarabelle prefers painting big sunflowers all over her own arms to painting the canvas, but it does her a lot of good and she loves them a lot

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

she’s mortal. she wasn’t brought up around magic at all. she wandered into the hibernian by accident thinking she was at a job interview she’d scheduled, and when kenspeckle told her she was in the wrong place she assumed she’d gotten the details of the job interview wrong and that this was where she was meant to be. and she just sort of. saw magic and the grotesquery and skulduggery and just went “yeah okay, that exists”. she’s the sort of person who always believed in magic and ghosts and cryptids and shit, she’s cool with it. 

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

clarabelle was put into care as a baby and bounced from foster home to foster home throughout her childhood. because she was moved so often, her autistic tendencies were noticed/mentioned by several sets of foster parents but she was never with them long enough for them to follow through on it. 

she was a frustrating child because she was so in her own world - it never occurred to her that drawing murals all over the dining room wall was wrong, or that using an entire bottle of bubble bath just to make it extra bubbly might upset someone, and she didn’t do very well in school because she was so easily distracted. 

she’s very used to being overlooked and being kind of ignored, so she dyes her hair blue and wears colourful makeup to remind people she’s there. and being given responsibility - (however small) - by kenspeckle is a big deal for her, and she’s really invested in not disappointing him, so the amount of guilt and depression she feels over her remnant!self killing him is just. awful. 

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

kenspeckle named her. when she introduced herself, she used her given name, and when he realised she was mortal kenspeckle gave her the talk about taken names and how she needed one if she was going to live in a world with magic. she asked him what sort of name he thought suited her, and he, put on the spot, suggested clarabelle, his mother’s name. she liked it - much more colourful and pretty than her given name - so clarabelle she became.

The air was holding a sort of secret from her Darquesse could feel it. She crack her neck and let her eyes fall on the forests around her, blinking away the snow flakes that danced before her fact. She strained her hearing certain that there was someone about, giving a slight turn she turned her chin up to gaze at the moon hanging over head.

"Hello?' She called calmly. "Anyone there?" She fiddled with the ring on her finger in preparation.

Isn’t it obvious? I would dominate him in our next fight and then make him serve the same role Skulduggery did when I was Valkyrie- Follow me around and bask in my glory like a puppy. Quite simple really, and he’s already trained to do it too! (Why thank you, ;) I just couldn’t get Darquesse out of my head after the last book. Also I’m an rp blog :))
