Tinderbox - What do you cherish most?
Jataral’s ears twitch as the question perks her interest and attention. She chews on her thumb for a moment as she stares at the book in her lap. Her eyes lift to take in the man asking the question, her eyes narrowing in contemplation as she pulls her thumb free from her teeth. “Ch-Cherish, s-sir?” she asks nervously. “I have lost most of the th-things that I cherished years ago.” she explains as she inhales deeply. She looks to the sky and thinks for a long time.
She lets out a long sigh before she continues. “I s-suppose Sasha is something I cherish. I raised her mother from a pup. When I returned to the farm many years later Sasha was there. It took some time for her to trust me. Now she is loyal and loving.” she says as she reaches up to stroke the the apple pendant around her neck.
“I guess I cherish this as well. My parents gave it to me a long time ago. It is the only thing I have that they gave me. It means the world to me.” She explains as she chews her lip. “Is that what you w-wanted to know? D-Does this h-help you understand me more?” she asks as her brow furrows in confusion.
