(template by macarxn_) #mizumafu #mafumizu requested by @sillytiredness 🎀❄️ truly one of the greatest switchups in prsk history: the tale of subtle doomed yuri. in a sad way it's kinda funny how Mafuyu still carries the title of The Sad One™ in the game when her life essence is gradually returning, meanwhile Mizuki is slowly losing all purpose and sight of what's true to her and what's not 🔔🔔. i find their distant relationship in the early game refreshing and different: Mafuyu's slightly condescending view or Mizuki and her obsession with cuteness, meanwhile Mizuki likes Mafuyu to the point of being upset with herself at Mafuyu's progression towards finding herself while she is stuck, unable to find a true companion to confide in with her secret.

i like to think Mafuyu knows her secret but refuses to do anything about it- I don't think she DOESN'T care, she just wants to see where Mizuki decides to go with it. Mafuyu has shown to be basically amoral, and while she does care and hold her fellow unit members close and in great regard, i don't think she has the time or energy to wrack her mind over another's issues (Kanade could learn a thing or two from that, but this isn't about her). back to Mizuki- she certainly holds some sort

of (maybe unhealthy) admiration, envy or jealousy towards Mafuyu and how she's slowly finding herself while Mizuki spirals further into uncertainty and fear, not of rejection, but of a new way to look at her and her special identity. despite all this she still likes Mafuyu enough to give her advice to face her mother and take it slow when she needs to, expressing care while giving Mafuyu distance when she requires it. a slow and thoughtful relationship between them, it's very intriguing 🎀❄️❤️

tbh I've since grown to be more of a kanaena guy myself But I still hugely appreciate mfen and what they bring to the table story wise. extremely, extremely powerful and raw bond between them. feels very physical, like I could grab it in my fist and squeeze it. can't go wrong with mfen

(template by macarxn_) #mafuena #enamafu requested by @https_shawnee ❄️🎨 i had to hold myself when i saw this request. mafuena is in my top5 prsk pairings, though I'd argue it's the best written of them all, their development and impressions on each other subtly changing as the story progresses has me rubbing my hands together in glee, they're so painfully realistic. most of all i ADORE and THIRST for their equality, in the way they treat each other & their temperaments and natures weighing each other out. Ena akin to a spark, ready to surge into a burning flame at any given moment - compared to Mafuyu, reminiscent of a cold lake, thin ice laid uncertainly over the surface, unpredictable and chilling. ((very poetic, sorry)

at least in the early game, anyway. the longer the story is being told, the more we see mafuena being like yin and yang, yet one of the least understood pairings in prsk. they are not toxic, or cruel, or mean - they are both blunt and honest and it's refreshing. metaphorically grabbing each others' shoulders and telling the other to lock in. Ena has expressed her gratitude for Mafuyu's critiques and built resilience to not take them to heart, learning it's for the better of her art, and

Mafuyu values Ena's honesty and protectiveness, ex. calling Mafuyu's mother for a talk, or insisting how Mafuyu can't disappear and addressing her importance. mafuena has done nothing but validate each other's feelings, look out for and extend a helping hand, eager to give a harshly true wake up call/pep talk, all of this without even mentioning the endearingly funny banter they have, but that's usually just from Ena, thanks to her fiery & tsunderey nature. terrifically written, love it ❄️🎨❤️

(template by macarxn_) #akinene #neneaki requested by Silly (privated) 🥞🤖 upon reading the request i didn't think twice of it, but after some thinking and relationship digging, it hit me. this is genuinely one of the funniest and least explored ships in the prsk community. much like nenetoya, both of these individuals are sickeningly dedicated to their respective goals and have been gradually breaking down the obstacles crossing their paths, Nene's stage fright and guilt, and Akito's debilitating passion and ambition. Akito is my 5th fave character in the game, his two personalities ("nice guy" persona and the ambitious, life-filled, real him) and the way he manipulates them with ease has me salivating at the mouth with the potential interactions with Nene.

Nene's a sharp girl and she sees through his polite facade despite being outright intimidated by Akito, and it makes me jump for joy. I know damn well if only Akito got closer to Nene and discovered how similar their experiences are (both being almost stunned silent by their respective goal barriers, but picking themselves up and carrying on steadily) his respect for her would quintuple and he'd find himself catching glances at the quiet girl from across the class, observing

in quiet awe. Nene would surely pick up on his attitude change. I'd like to say she wouldn't be too swayed by it, but given how she's genuinely intimidated by Akito, I'm sure she'd be able to heave a somewhat relieved sigh. that being said, I hope Sega explores this dynamic more in the future. eventually, Nene would have him wrapped around her finger, other hand on a videogame console, and Akito would NOT be complaining. endearing and funny 🥞🤖❤️

I didn't add ratings for ships like ruinene, emunene, or mizukana, or minoshiho, despite having neutral to positive opinions on them, I rated these based on how Excited I get when I see them, much like how I assess other media. disclaimer: ship what you want and mind your own business about it. shoutout Ena for being the holy grail

(template by macarxn_) #nenetoya #toyanene requested by @saiis_sleepy 🤖☕ nenetoya: a wonderful ship with a great established friendship. as a friends to lovers truther, nenetoya is one of those ships I don't actively seek out, but they always bring me joy upon seeing them. both of their character arcs are based around breaking their previous status quo and becoming who they truly know they want to be - Nene struggling with stage fright—accidentally sabotaging a really important show doing nothing to help that matter—and Toya wanting to expand his music tastes and performances beyond classical music and the piano. both of them have been working diligently to come out of their respective shells, and it's really admirable.

I also find it cute how they find common ground in introversion & videogames. them being gaming buddies giving the other person the upper hand while playing against each other is endearing, and the other party always repays the favour later. they work both platonically and romantically, with deep mutual respect for the other's growth and dedication, and as a fun gaming buddy. if they were dating, they'd like spending time together in the same room, each doing their own thing 🤖☕❤️
