“Koala where are you, koala, koala.” his voice is soft, a little scratchy from the fanmeet but softer because he likes the sounds in australia more. he doesn’t expect to actually find one. for one thing it’s late, it’s the only time he can actually venture out the hotel without worrying about being spotted. even now his cap is low and he’s got himself bundled in the most inconspicuous outfit he could manage. as inconspicuous as black and white combos could be. it’s peaceful though and there’s a slight bounce to his step despite his caution. “koala koala~” he’s humming an unknown tune, waiting for the face to pop up on the screen.

The days have been moving by quickly as of late, tons of comebacks and tons more meetings. As companies begin the preparations to send their groups onto the stage Chance gets more requests for training when all their staff is busy with bigger names and debuted groups. He doesn’t mind it’s just the running back and forth that can be a real drag. It weeks like this that’s he’s reminded if he didn’t do what he loved he’d be worn to the bone. That’s what keeps him going.

Despite all the meetings and lessons he always makes time for a few people and KARD is definitely one of them. The energy when he walks into the practice room, no matter who is there it’s unmatched. Their routines aren't too complicated but they’re just his style, chill and just right after a day of dishing out company level routines. Why entertainment companies like to stress their trainees and then him out with overly complicated moves he’ll never know, The fatigue slips off though as he knocks on the door and peeks his head in, music greeting him with the sound of steps against the floor. No matter how tired he is, this sound will always make him smile.

“Yooo I’m looking for the dance machine of KARD can you point me to them, we’ve got business.”

A cheeky grin and probably the easiest one he has all day slips on his face as he makes his way in. “’Sup hyung rumor has it you’re the talk of the town.”

at first she doesn’t notice his presence, which in itself is strange. she’s usually always glancing around, feeding the energy from the studio and even though she can’t raise it as well as the others jiwoo throws herself into trying. for the moment she’s immersed in her phone, back pressed against the walls of the studio. it’s one of the few times they have to relax and she thinks she probably wasn’t relaxing as much as she thought.

why? because even with her eyes watching silly videos on her phone jiwoo’s shoulders only really drop when she recognizes taehyung beside her. she’s grateful but instead her nose scrunches up at the words. “oppa, the more you mention koalas the more anxious I am to see them.” she isn’t concerned with easily she slips into a playful act around him but she’s too interested to care. “think we could swing by autstralia on the tour, just--- take a little detour.”

that’s when jiwoo turns her phone to show him the videos that had attention. “look look! they’re so cute. can’t we have a koala concept what is this...” the rest is mumbled because her attention is stolen again, enthralled by the fluffy mammals that move around on the screen.

from 'he oppa who i should listen to’ to ‘the oppa who should share his food’ - look at you trying to gobble down all that food. but on a serious note, this one is very endearing. it makes me want to scoop you up and wrap a warm blanket around your shoulders. hopefully, you’re able to get more sleep these days. if not, i have to go wherever you are and sing ‘oh na na’ and ‘don’t recall’ repeatedly until you fall asleep because it’s been stuck in my head for days.

Q: [ iced lemon tea ] favorite song/band? 

A: i don’t have a specific preference when it comes to music as i tend to explore each genre. but huum... if we’re talking about my all time favorites, ariana grande’s daydreamin’, cherry filter’s flying duck and bae soojung-nim’s still loving you are all on top of my list. i still listen to those even now! heh. as for current ones, i’ve been into certain dramas’ official soundtracks, a few indie songs -- from pop to hiphop, as well as recent releases such as btob’s someday and junggigo sunbae and chanyeol oppa’s collaboration, let me love you. what else... ahhh, i highly recommend eden’s stand up. it features babylon! it’s really a good song~ 

Q: [ earl grey tea ] the inevitable zombie apocalypse is upon us! what’s your plan of action?

A: unlike most girls who’d probably run for survival whilst being chased by a zombie, i, on the other hand, would definitely get a gun and fight them just as i do in arcade games. strong woman do bong soon and weightlifting fairy kim bok joo who? fret not for cutie sexy park sooyoung exists to eliminate such hideous creatures! 

Q: [ iced coffee ] do you like reading? if so, what’s your favorite book?

A: i’m not really fond of reading books or any literary pieces. i’d rather spend my free time practicing. in that way, i could hone my skills even more and improve in some aspects that i’m lacking. i like mangas, though. and web cartoons. also, lately, i can’t seem to put down and ignore the script for the liar and his lover. i mean… i’m sort of obliged to read it. your friendly malgeumi has to work hard~ pfft.. are those even counted… anyway… i’m more of a movie person, so there you go.
