Post Like You’re Dying
I was recently asked “If you only had one Facebook post left, what would you post?” Which, of course, left me wondering WHAT exactly I would say! It’d have to powerful and meaningful and hopefully change someone’s life, actions, way of thinking, SOMETHING!
When I was younger, Natasha Bedingfield’s song “Unwritten” was MY SONG. I drove my friends crazy as we took in the final days of high school together, driving around in my car blasting that song over and over again. But I felt like I had this whole world waiting for me and I could do anything I wanted. I had a story to write and a life to create and every time I heard her song I felt inspired.
Fast forward to 2011. I had just started my business and jumped into it like I did with everything. I had learned a lot since college and still had dreams but was starting to lose inspiration. I was still working a full-time job and I think a 9-5 can do that to anyone at some point. But I was far too young to stop dreaming and when I got a chance to make my business full-time, I took it.
And here we are today. March 2014. My life has changed but it wasn’t until today, when I was asked about my last post, that I thought back to “my song”. I listened to it on repeat this morning. I closed my eyes and I suddenly could remember the way I felt driving those back roads and bursting with ideas and inspiration.
So now that I took a little break to go down memory lane I feel better than I have in months and have an AWESOME idea for you guys!
