unattractive personality traits; anyone who restricts his freedom, people who are too noisy, forceful people in general. if you shoot him down when he is showing interest or try to cage him, he will probably start walking the opposite direction.

ideal date; anywhere with the person he likes. if he likes you he can probably go watch paint dry with you and enjoy himself, and have a nice chat.

do they have a type?; not really! again, he ends up gravitating towards people who have some kind of authority or is involved with magic in some way. his ideal type would be somebody who can either accept him for who he is (once he shows it) or somebody who can slowly make him come out of his shell.

preferred non-sexual intimacy; studying together, sharing knowledge. probably gets you gifts that you never asked for, and they range from all kinds of bizarre. again, he could watch paint dry with you and he'd be satisfied if he likes you. he has all the time in the world, after all.
