The worms were agitated today, churning the sea of sand to a pseudo storm with their restlessness, and casting a pall over the clinic and the nearby town.

What in the world was going on here?

Rook stood in front door of his clinic, looking out the sky with a deepening frown. What could have happened to put the hive into such a state? He couldn't help the worry building in the pit of his stomach.

The old doctor shut the door and let out a sigh.

...perhaps it would be prudent to make sure he was stocked up on his supplies. Even if that storm wasn't headed his way, the unrest in town could lead to its own sort of troubles, and he would rather be prepared.
