AAAAAAH I finally watched the finale! Not bad at all. It was SO nice to see the og main cast (sans Kelso) back together again. God, I missed Janitor. SO much, he brought such a unique and quirky light to the show. If we get a season 2, he better return!
I feel bad for JD and the current maintenance guy, though. "Order restored." Ruh-roh indeed X'D
I liked the twist and turns in the interns' relationships, too! Asher and Sam are kinda cute together and I'm assuming Blake and Amara are gonna be a thing as well. Also shoutout to Dashana; lesbian (bi?) queen, omg!
I guess JD meeting a lady that clicks with him is fine as well but also we've been down this road before and wondering what direction this will/could take if this revival gets renewed. Ya know where my ship preferences lie so I'm not super psyched for it but it is what it is.
Elliot is amazing as always, she is so in her element as a teacher, I love it.
Also...damn. Cox. I still don't like him but...that's a heavy hand to be dealt. Good way to keep his character reoccurring, though. I missed Jordan so much more than I thought I would. Her little high-five with the Todd was perfect.
I am a little bummed for Turk, though. The revival pilot dropped such a heavy revelation about him and then it just...wasn't explored all that much. Was JD's return meant to fix that for him? I mean, he does have a place to go when he needs a break from the chaos of the hospital and family, now, but idk, I was kind of looking forward to exploring Turk's burnout and how he'd struggle/learn to find his hope, again.
Don't get me wrong, I do love that JD texts him at 3am cause he's lonely and it warms my heart that he's visiting Turk and Carla more because of it. The guy love is strong <3
(Turk and JD dancing at the wedding reception warmed my heart, too. THEY'RE STILL SO CUTE.)
Also, Francois dropping truth bombs on Park was excellent~ and a good place to indicate a maybe change in him, if this ends up being a single season revival, after all.
