cool mitosis stuff!
saw some cool mitotic figures today and have been making everyone I know look at them!
mitosis is the process of cellular division. I will spare you all the details!
circled in yellow is anaphase. note the spindle fibers pulling TWO vertical bunches of DNA to opposite sides of the cell:
now, in red, we see examples of three and SIX sets of spindle fibers!!
The example with six is also surrounded by many cells with other multiples that are not two. heck
Also, a very cute heart shaped nucleus (next to a normal anaphase):
