Past Synopsis:
Hallow’s father – Warrin -- was a veteran of war and was quite jumpy but had turned to alcohol to forget about the horrors of war but this turned him into a monster. Warrin became abusive and often threatened to kill his wife -- Beira -- and young Hallow. One fateful night when Hallow was merely five years old, Warrin was beating Beira to the point that blood was being drawn from her face and torso of their living room and Hallow could no longer take the abuse and he jumped between them and took a hit to the head from Warrin’s beer bottle – shattering it. Miraculously Hallow stayed conscious. Warrin was about to stab Hallow with the broken bottle but Hallow held up his hands defensively and then his Psychokinesis had awoken. The shards of glass that was around him shot up at the speed of a bullet and killed his father instantly. However, … his mother didn’t see the action as her son saving her from a monster. No, she had become alienated by the abuse of her husband thus seeing the moment as her son murdering her husband. She sent him to Black Thorn Asylum for the Insane and Demented.
It was there where he was locked away in Solitary Confinement. Unable to move or do anything at all. He began trying to use his powers. After countless failed attempts he finally succeeded. He was able to tug at his straightjacket. It was minor, but it was something. After what felt like years of practice, one night he was able to open the door to his cell, but he dared not take advantage of it yet, so he closed it to avoid suspicion. One day he ended up hearing the screams and cries of someone who must’ve been in a room near him.
Their name was Terios. They were there because they had eaten someone alive. They became the best of friends and had lengthy conversations. They had gotten away with it because their cells were only checked once a day and the employees’ footsteps were rather loud, so they were able to feign misery.
When the world ended, Hallow unleashed his full power and released his only friend. They used Black Thorn as a base of operations for what felt like years. As time passed he began noticing missing gaps of time and eventually full on days. He was told by Terios that there would be days where Hallow was overly joyful, depress, or wrathful. So, Hallow stopped feeling all together and it went from a forced habit to something that was seemingly permanent. He doesn’t feel anything at all unless the personas are provoked. He and Terios were eventually tracked down by Scourge and offered to join a republic that were searching for legendary gems that had pure Harmony imbued into them to bring sanity and order back to Morbidious.
They accepted.
