On the bright side the dryer repair guy is kinda cute even though I don't normally go for non-feminine guys. He's got a nice butt.

Data talks about OCs again
Lesse, last time I did this I talked about Thrash, so let’s dive into the World of Darkness for another guy with shaky morals, the Virtual Adept “Q-Dawg”.
Q is an alias, of course. As a conman and hacker, Quimby Cross has used a lot of aliases, even before his awakening as a mage. His current one was given to him by the woman who introduced him to the Virtual Adepts, T-Line.
It’s worth noting that in a party of Neutral Good and Chaotic Good characters, Q was the definition of a Chaotic Neutral character, and only the GM could tell. Sure, he did some questionable things like allow more than thirty Technocracy agents to be body-snatched by Atlanteans who were invading from the past, but the Technocrats are the bad guys, and the Atlanteans agreed to leave the mages alone in exchange. Besides, the guy cured a little girl of Leukemia, how bad can he be? (Let’s ignore that he did it literally to prove that he could do something like that without even being in the room.) Pretty bad, to be honest. Again, the Atlantean deal. Knocked out a bunch of Technocrats and basically sold their bodies, and everyone else was too innocent to realize that was what he was doing.
While not exactly the leader of the group, Q was the one who came up with the plans usually, and he could do so pretty quickly. He made damn sure he was likable and convincing when interacting with other people, and that he was entirely average and forgettable when he wasn’t. Well, mostly average. He stood out in exactly one way: He was short. Like, five feet tall at most. As far as magic goes, he was a master at warping, bending, and folding space. He could teleport, be in multiple places at once (or do the same thing to people or objects), or bend space so his enemies were trapped in one place for eternity. He was also skilled at reading minds and manipulating probability and energy, and was probably the closest to mastering a tenth sphere before the game ended, but he was only mediocre at those.
That said, for all his skills, Q was a Paradox magnet. Because the universe doesn't like magic anymore, especially not humans doing large displays of power, like, say, curing Leukemia, or teleporting things in front of witnesses. He easily could have avoided most of the Paradox he incurred, but he also believed in trying to change the paradigm. See, magic was only vulgar because very few people believed, and some forms of magic weren't vulgar at all, because they were within the realm of what the audience felt was believable, like performing a “faith healing” in a church or similar activities, and Q believed that if enough people saw real magic then they’d be forced to believe and Paradox would no longer be a problem. So in the long run he wasn't entirely selfish, but he was a pretty shitty dude who was really good at manipulating people into believing he was their friend.
So, inspired in part by pompilid (who seriously is one of my favorite people to follow), I shall be using the Hunger Games simulator to play around with the MTMTE cast, and will live-blog the interesting bits. If you don't want to be bothered, you should probably blacklist.... I dunno, let's go with #TF:BR
There will be one Autobot and one Decepticon to represent each district, so if people wanna make suggestions while I'm getting set up, feel free.
Tumblr Meme
Kinda sorta technically tagged by creepyold-kit-hands
1.) Why did you choose your URL? So, I got into Tumblr because of some of my friends in the PPC (that's a semi-embarrassing fanfic thing I'm only somewhat a member of anymore, for those of you who don't know. Not "pay per click" which is the other common google result for PPC), and over there I went by Data Junkie on the board and irc, so I figured I'd used something similar so that people could find me easier and remember who they were looking at. 2) What is your middle name? Kelsey. My parents got it from some random dude in the credits of Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. 3) If you could own a fairytale/fictional pet, what would it be? A dragon. I have a Thing about dragons. Or some kind of talking crow/raven. Like capable of holding conversation, not just capable of human speech, because they can already do that.
4) Favorite color?
Sort of a forest-y green
5) Favorite song?
Bipolar by Adam WarRock
6) What are your top three fandoms?
Transformers (Sort of all of it, except Kiss Players because fuck Kiss Players and all the creepy shit that goes with it. I suppose if pushed for a favorite I'd say SG or MTMTE right now, though that changes from time to time), Shadowrun (I will fucking fight anyone who says it doesn't count), and, uh... Can I just say Bioware in general, instead of picking one series?
7) Why do you enjoy Tumblr?
Yo, sometime I don't even know. It keeps me in informed about and contact with the outside world, I suppose, whereas without it I'd have very little contact with other people. Also I enjoy occasionally arguing with some of the asshats on here. Sue me.
8) Tag people.
Uhhhhh..... Who haven't I seen do this? lily-sinful, vmthecoyote, and a-train-baby
Okay but what if there was a Star Wars au where everything is the same, but instead of Jedi/Sith, there's magical girls?
I'm bored, so let's write about one of my favorite OCs, my satyr from Changeling: the Dreaming.
Mario Tragos is a half Greek, half Cuban skater punk born in Atlanta, Georgia. Born in the mid-90s, he was too young to really have participated in skate culture when it was big. What fueled his obsession was a combination of comic books, cheap 80s and 90s cartoons, and video games. He finally talked his parents into getting him his first skateboard when he turned 8, and thanks to that, his whole life changed.
Thrash is a satyr. One of the fae, an embodiment of passion and wisdom, and created from the collective dreams of a generation. Thrash was shaped by the culture he spun out into, which in this case was America circa 1996: skateboarding, grunge music, and a general sense of apathy about the world. He went through the chrysalis and fully awakened when Mario was 9, trying to invent a new trick on his skateboard. When Mario got it just right, the burst of creativity allowed the fae soul that lay dormant inside him to awaken, and from that day on he was Thrash, and Thrash was him.
Today, Mario is a young adult with too much time on his hands, and the informal leader of a group of similar youths, though all of them are mundane. Skateboarder and drummer in a metal band, Thrash is surrounded by plenty of creativity to sustain him, and when he needs more, he can always jam with his band, or if he's feeling dark, which he has been more and more lately as his Unseelie nature creeps in with the fall, he'll challenge his skater buddies to come up with interesting and frequently dangerous tricks. Fortunately no one's gotten hurt, yet. He always looks out for the boys and girls that surround him, and has given a few of them a place to crash with no questions asked.
(For the curious, he's polyamorous, and pansexual/romantic, but that actually doesn't come up as much as someone might expect.)
I'm not the only tf fan out tthere who wants a version of the character creation from the Cybertron games that I can use at any time and take screenshots of, like some kind of transformers-inspired doll divine game, right?
