What are Alexia's thoughts regarding Spencer, from one of nobility towards another over the years?

She only met him in person once, when she was perhaps not even 8 years old.She did not like him one bit.

In more recent times beyond the Rockfort-Antarctic incident, and upon learning more of his sordid history with regards to the assassination of her grandfather grandnephew Edward with the staged progenitor ‘accident’ as well as other unfavourable projects, her first instinct was to cut off the head of that particular serpent and revoke assets out from beneath him to undermine him.  While he’d hidden away and wasted into nothingness she’d endured ice and fire, survived, and came back with a fury reclaiming what was taken from her family. 

She thought him nothing but a vile shell of a man whose only ambition was self preservation for the sake of remaining the head of his lineage with ideas of Godhood.

She took great pleasure in hearing of his demise.

What are Alexia's opinions of fellow researchers William Birkin and Albert Wesker?

Scholar Will and Practical Al. 

Through nothing but his own hand Alexia detested William Birkin, feeling that perhaps his research would’ve shown more promise and result if he’d focus on it instead of trying to undermine any of her achievements. Perhaps if he’d never felt so upstaged due to her age they might have worked well together solving the issues of one another’s respective projects, but that would never be thanks to his hatred. 

Albert on the other hand was her one slice of sanity amidst vile old men, her insufferable family, and Birkin’s antics. She respected him highly for his scientific brilliance, and considered him a friend and confidant, a true rarity given the company they both worked for. He spoke with her like an equal, rather than as if she were a child to be pandered to, and that kind of thing goes a long way with her. 

It still does to this day.

Given that gossip does seem to get around Umbrella, did Alexia ever hear about the efforts being made in Arklay prior to taking the next step in her own work?

Yes. It would’ve helped that at the time Alexander held 1/3 of the rights to Umbrella after the ‘accidental’ demise of Edward back in 1968, plus with him bringing their family to better standing in the company as a whole with the successful Veronica clone project, so a lot of major breakthroughs would have been passed through him, and in turn Alexia. 

More notably would’ve been the report on progenitor’s successive prototype virus, T, in 1981 when she was fresh out of university. It had a very strong pathogenic rate, but its fatality percent was incredibly high given what Spencer’s ambition for it was. She was promoted to senior researcher which was how she provisioned with a progenitor strain (it’s never listed if it’s a or b strain in any files) which she combined along with plant genome as a link with the retrovirus found in the ant fossils she’d been studying to see if she could make a better, more efficient strain.

Of course, that isn’t the only gossip she was privy to, and it was made very clear to her that Birkin had a bee in his bonnet (the nicest way of wording the complete repulsion he felt at her gaining such a role given his work at Arklay) regarding her mere existence as a whole.

Alexia's opinion of Alfred. Was she completely apathetic towards his wellbeing or was there a modicum of kinship felt towards him?

It’s such a mixed bag -- for practically the whole of her child-life Alfred was the only person she had around who was of the same age; she progressed straight to university after her aptitude was proven, and then when she graduated and was employed by Umbrella she was surrounded by nothing but adults. 

Some of which were incredibly resentful of her genius. 

I think the nails in Alfred’s coffin came from two distinct sources in the end with how she truly ended up feeling toward him: how he regaled her upon a pedestal non-stop, and how he broke his promise to her. 

Alfred always thought himself the quintessential soldier toward her efforts, that she were his monarch to protect and to serve, and it grew tiring to deal with day-in-day-out. In a world where she was either constantly praised for her genius and prowess, or was heckled as that ‘rich bitch kid’ by the other old coats (or by a certain Arklay scientist,) having to deal with that too instead of a slice of normalcy, or as normal as it could get for her, just became another reason to go into full avoidance mode and lock herself away in her laboratory.

Then, in his madness years later, where he carried on as himself and thought she truly were already with him out of cryostasis with a dual personage to the extent he even dressed as her, he forgot her actual self. 

Alexia can exist without Alfred, her twin did not make her whole.On the other side of the coin, Alfred could not exist without Alexia. 

When she was gone he crumpled. 

It was the last straw which made her commit fratricide in a pure Veronica-fuelled rage.
