Been thinking more on my Guardians since the release of the Destiny 2 Beta. Some spoilery headcanons under the cut.

Since Bungie has stressed a new beginning with Destiny 2, I thought it would be fun to do that to my Guardians. Now, they are still the same characters from the first game, but emotionally and mentally, they’ll all be doing some 180′s.

Gray, who was confident and cocky, a smartass without a fear, becomes uncertain, troubled, scared. She doesn’t have the world figured out like she thought she did; she underestimated the Cabal, overestimated herself, and now she is on the precipice, staring into the gaping maw of her mistake. 

Alanis, who was strong and proud, haughty and snobbish, finally realizes that her home was never with the Awoken or their Queen. She is a Warlock--a Guardian--one of the chosen few gifted with the Light, and she has wasted her second chance at life stuck in a past that might have never been.

Data-7, who was curious and innocent, alive and full of wonder, becomes tainted by the loss of so many, bitter, cynical, angry. Rage drives her forward, fury fills her gun, her staff, her bow, her limbs. Hatred is her fuel, vengeance her goal, revenge her right.
