like the characters in da2 and the relationships between them are genuinely so charming even though a lot of the female characters seem to be written by dudes who name their fleshlights. but the problem is that as a game it is so bad like genuinely so godawful that i cannot fathom a major game studio shipping it even in 2011. it is insane. there is one cave they use over and over the whole game and they tell you it’s different caves. combat is button pressing. they tell you it matters what buttons you press but it doesn’t. and then on top of all that you have to deal with the most both-sides political debate about genocide in a fantasy setting but filtered through a pre-2016 USAmerican politics lens. i finished it though dont get me wrong i did finish it but like. man. and this series was like all yall had huh

there’s something about the implication that fenris’ devotion to hawke is something he TOOK for himself. that hawke really doesn’t have a say. like, the fact that he dips and never talks to hawke about that night for those 3 years is trauma and avoidancy. but the band and crest also say, In every other way i’m still here and i’m not leaving unless you make me. i’m yours whether you wish to act on that or not, and this is the only way i know how to deal with it. am i crazy is anyone on this wavelength here
