"If you don't rest, you won't heal, Ur."
It required outstanding self-control from the older mage not to snort but thankfully, if Ur had ever been good at sometimes, it would be not to do what seemed to be a good idea at first. Her second talent would be that she sometimes contradicted her own better knowledge by doing things she knew would end badly.
Running a hand through her hair, she looked at her daughter and away from her bandaged arm. She was a little annoyed with the way this had happened because she had been careless for a moment and then, she had tripped down the stairs and fallen on her arm.
>>I know that I should rest it,<< she replied after a moment in which she tugged on the sling so everything was in place again, >>but I get restless. I … can’t sit still for long, you know?<<
She had always struggled to rest properly after receiving an injury. When the dragon offspring had gotten her, she had had not much of a choice, the healers had kept her under the influence of various painkillers most of the time, she had slept a lot.
This time around, there was nothing to keep her sedated. She wanted to go back outside because she had never liked to be trapped in a place, she had had that for sixteen years of her life, it made her very uncomfortable.
>>Also, I am using no magic … I just … can’t sit still for six weeks, I need to do something because … I can’t get rusty again.<<
