Angel | Moniwa Kaname
fluff, fem! reader
Moniwa couldn’t breathe.
You made him feel things he never had before. To him, you were an angel out of a blooming flower in Spring. Something about your sweet, honey-drenched smile made him do things he never done before. Like how you made his knees shake, his cheeks flush, and his heart clawing out of his ribcage.
“You should smile more.”
You grinned with a toothy smile. The corner of your lips were decorated with some crumbs from your milk bread, your hair was flying in the wind. And you looked like a goddess. Moniwa felt his heart skip a beat. There was a spark, Moniwa could feel it. He just wasn’t sure what it was. But it felt so incredibly transparent; it was a flaming tingle ready to catch fire within your souls, and everything was hot to the touch. It was a strange, otherworldly experience, yet Moniwa craved it with his entire being. Something about it got him addicted, and he needed it. He needed you.
He perked his brows up. “Why?”
“Because you’ll look even more of an angel.”
Him, an angel? No, this was the biggest lie he had ever heard. He wasn’t like the other members of the volleyball team who attracted attention everywhere they went. He was plain, unattractive, the weak leader of Date Tech…yet, when you said it so easily from your sugary lips, Moniwa felt so goddamn weak.
It was as though the angels from the skies had crowned him with a halo and stitched onto his back a pair of glowing wings. For a brief moment, it felt like heaven. Moniwa could feel his heartbeat thrumming and hammering so loudly in his ears and throughout his body; he was afraid you’d hear it too. You left him floating on cloud nine, and without him knowing, a smile was painted on his face. Moniwa tucked a strand of hair behind your ear as he flashed you a sweet smile.
“You’re the angel, not me.”
