Dating!Jonghyun (JR)
Jonghyun is the softest person ever.
Like you’re gonna be like who is this badass looking rapper.
But then five seconds later it’s like nope, he’s fluff.
He’s fluffier than cotton candy, like let’s be real.
No matter how long you’ve known each other, the fluff never goes away.
Your friendship would start with a shy smile from him.
He’s confident on stage, but when he meets you, that confidence fades.
You were so beautiful and that makes him really shy.
He wanted to ask you out, but when he decided to he ended up deciding not to.
So instead, he was perfectly fine just being your friend.
It might sound cliche, yet in his mind he has the idea of best friends turning into lovers.
But of course he’s too shy to come onto you or really anything that’s not platonic.
It was you that asked him first, if he wanted to go on a date with you.
He was ecstatic since everyone knew he’d never get the guts to ask you himself.
His members probably said something about him liking you behind his back, because they are tired of hearing him talk about you.
But little did they know it would get worse, like ten times worse.
If it isn’t about music then 9 outta 10 times he’s talking about you.
He can’t deny how much he likes you, and honestly you don’t want him to.
Of course he says I love you first.
It honestly took everything in him not to say it on your first date, which he honestly would have done if Aron didn’t tell him that might scare you off.
It would be your fifth date, and Jonghyun would be ready to get down on one knee, but he doesn’t do it, he would wait till the sixth date.
But jokes aside, from the moment you two start getting serious, he’d know he wants to spend his life with you.
He’s the kind of person to just randomly buy you flowers, no reason, he just thought they were beautiful but not as beautiful as you.
He’d also buy you tons of little trinkets that reminded him of you.
Like that keychain with a puppy on it that reminded him your favorite animals were puppies, and it was also a Pomeranian which was your favorite breed, and it had a purple collar on it which was your favorite color.
Everything he gives you has a meaning, even if you don’t know what the meaning is, he remembers it all and will start telling an hour long story of the meaning of any item and how it reminds him of you if you ask him.
He’d always be up to help do chores, he’d literally be like no you sit down, I’ll do this.
The only thing he’s good at is laundry though, so he has given up so he just does what you tell him to do regarding the other chores.
He’d have a little carrying case he’s made of all the cleaners and stuff, and just follow you around giving you what you need while you clean, so he doesn’t feel totally useless.
But laundry, the one thing he’s good at, he’s better than the dry cleaners somehow.
He’s very specific about everything he uses, only using certain brands, but softener is the thing he’s most specific about, he only uses a certain scent from a certain brand.
He’d probably do the laundry while you’re at work, if he’s not busy, and then you come home to the house smelling like flowers and vanilla with a closet full of freshly cleaned clothing.
He’s the king of sweater paws, and nothing makes him softer than he is like seeing you with sweater paws.
He’s the kind of guy to wear sweaters with really long sleeves, and hold your hand in the sleeve. He’d probably be like “but you’ll get hypothermia with your hands out like that”, but he just wants to hold you hand, and of course you know that, it’s not a secret.
Another one of his skills is making tea, any kind of tea you want, he can make it. He probably has a fancy tea set that he only allows the both of you to use.
He’d make you tea instead of coffee, you’d wake up to a cup of tea, you’d go to bed with a cup of tea, you’re sick with a cup of tea, you’re watching the news with a cup of tea, you do anything and you have a cup of tea.
You constantly joke he should quit being an idol and open a cafe that just serves tea, and he seriously considers it until you tell him you were just joking.
He’d be shy to start with, but as you two date longer, he’ll start opening up.
He’ll go from awkwardly holding your hand to not as awkwardly holding your hand, he’d still be kinda shy, just not as much as before.
You’ll be dating like three months when he brings you to meet his mother, she practically already knows you as well as he does, because he never shuts up about you.
She loves you of course, how could she not with how much Jonghyun talks about you.
Jonghyun would consider proposing really fast, like the moment he realizes he’s in love with you.
But Aaron is like don’t, Dongho is like no, Ren is like you can’t, Minhyun is like don’t, and even his mom is like Jonghyun you’ve been together three weeks proposing might scare her away.
Jonghyun chills for like .4 seconds, and starts talking about proposing again after your third month together, but finally his members make him calm down and he doesn’t.
He’d propose after a year, of course he would have earlier if it hadn’t been for his bandmates talking him out of it, he would have proposed on the fifth date if they hadn’t of been there.
Honestly he probably would have scared you off, but he waited and everything goes well.
The proposal would be really sweet and somewhere significant, like the place you first met or where you had your first date or where you had your first kiss.
He’d probably take you to all three before finally proposing where you had your first kiss, he’d send you on a little scavenger hunt and at the last stop, where you two had your first kiss, there he is on his knee.
You’d say yes of course, and he would leave the wedding planning to you, mostly because if it was up to him you’d be married next week.
And when you both did get married, nothing would change.
He’d still be the softest fluffiest person ever bringing home flowers that are beautiful but not as beautiful as you, little trinkets that reminded him of you, doing your laundry, helping you clean, and making you tea multiple times daily.
He’d just lay on the sofa or bed or floor some days just holding you close to him and thinking about how lucky he is to have you in his life, but you honestly feel like the lucky one, for being the one that has the Nation’s Leader’s heart.
