Oo a Veil route, that would be fun. Definitely angsty but fun.

How to start her route:

Head to octavinelle after meeting the main trio (Tweels and Azul), talk to each of then at least once. After, you will unlock dialogue of NPCs speaking about the Lounge bartender. Mostly horror stories and bad things (that she's a "heartless monster"). If you dare to click onto the bar you will unlock your first interaction with Veil.

Romancing her

• Avoid any dialogues that involve asking her about her past/her memories/her curse. Those will all bring down her affection and lead towards the bad route. The better her affection rating is, the more likely dialogue will be unlocked where she will begin to talk about herself.

• Frequently visit the lounge bar, depending on the hour she will be there. If she is not there, she is either in the tank or in her room (both locked until further progress in her route/higher affection) or in class (romancing not possible)

• If you are trying to romance Loxias at the same time and she finds out, her affection will return to zero and be nearly impossible to bring back up.

• Liked Items (to raise affection): Seashells[have the most effect and gives unique dialogue depending on the shell], dark gems, stone items, flowers that grow near the ocean and sea glass

• Disliked Items (will hurt affection): Any lightening themed object, bright/sparkling objects, snake themed objects and strong smelling objects (perfumes, roses, etc)

Unlocked Affection Milestones (10 heart system)

2 Hearts: Event consists of MC walking in on Veil trying to develop a new drink for the bar menu (under Azul's "suggestion"). There will be an option to select from 6 drink concepts she has, where she will create your suggestion for you to try, MC is able to suggest/select up to 3 drinks for Veil to make where she will comment about each one. The event concludes with Veil deciding to go with the drink MC suggests (or selects out of their options) and even "jokingly" says it should be named after them. Completion of event will add a "trophy" to inventory (to decorate MC's room) that resembles the drink.

4 Hearts: Event is unlocked by Veil not being at the bar and instead being in the tank. MC must go to the edge of the tank and call out to her multiple times where she will eventually swim up to the surface to talk to MC. There is crucial dialogue here, where there are two options; if you compliment her merform, the event continues. If you act fearful of her merform, the event ends where Veil will swim back down into the tank (hearts will revert to 3 hearts, upon achieving 4 hearts again, the event will not trigger). If the event does continue however, it consists of Veil asking MC to join her for a swim (at the top of the tank). The most romantic thing that occurs in this event is Veil briefly touching MC's face to brush some wet hair out of the way. Event concludes with Veil swimming down to the tank bottom and returning with a shell for MC (will become a decoration for MC's room)

6 Hearts: Event is unlocked by Veil being in her room (unlocked after 5 hearts). Where MC will finally learn about Veil's curse properly/she finally shows them. Veil will tell the story about her father's imprisonment after killing Loxias's mother and the origins of her curse along along with her mother's death and the scars she received from Loxias. Event progresses with Veil showing them the extent of her "heartlessness" in which she picks up a spare glass and says how much she "loves it", upon which MC will see a shadowy presence surround the glass and hear a crack of thunder before the glass shatters in her hands. Veil will not be affected. The event concludes with Veil explaining how she can't voice her positive emotions for things and people as they will suffer for her emotions, MC leaves but not before seeing a faint warmth in Veil's eyes even if she can't smile.

8 Hearts(first truly romantic event): Event is unlocked with Veil finally coming to terms with her feelings for MC and realizing she loves them, and realizing she can never tell them she does. Event occurs at the lounge bar, after hours where Veil will make MC the drink named after them and ask MC is they believe curses can be broken, if they believe the wrath of the gods can be undone. MC can either be confident, unsure or negative in their view here, and each will influence the route achieved. Regardless of what MC answers, Veil's opinion will be negative as she believes she is cursed forever. Veil will reminisce of the past events, talking about the experiences before cursing, shattering the glass she was holding.

After she will proclaim that she hates that she can't say "it" that she's afraid of acting in "it", but that she knows "its" true. She will take MC's face in her hands and just mumble how she "hates them... Hates that they made her feel like this, hates them with every fiber of her being" and yet, the words are soft spoken, almost sobs as she holds them like the most precious thing in the world to her. The event ends with Veil leaning in to kiss MC only to feel a literal spark of electricity and hear MC yelp out that she pulls away horrified and the event ends.

• Random inbetween heart events are possible, one such random event is meeting Python, her father, (between 6 - 8 hearts), Veil will state that she is returning home for a visit and asks if MC would like to join her

• 10 hearts signifies unlocking the good ending, hearts will remain "locked" at 8 until the days progress. Affection does go down if she is ignored. If you have high affection but continue to select "bad" dialogue, you will unlock the bad ending. If she is your highest affection when the overall story "days" are over and you do not have enough affection to unlock the good ending, you will receive the neutral ending. Endings begin with Python rushing to find MC (finally out of his solitary confinement in the cave) , rambling about how Veil has gone to finally face Loxias's father and demand he break her curse. Chapter ends with Python bringing MC to "Olympus" to see the face off. Upon entering Veil's home, MC sees the sky almost black but with near constant thunder and lightening.

Good Ending (Upon achievement, an epilogue is unlocked)

Veil's curse gets broken and she turns to face MC with her first smile as she cries. She would take them to the beach she frequently went to in her youth where she finally confesses her love for MC and kisses them. The epilogue consists of Veil taking MC on their first proper date, once again saying how much she loves them and that she is forever grateful to have them by her side.

Neutral Ending

Veil's curse does not get broken, however she still decides to be with MC and love them however she is able to with the curse. Ending is completed with them returning to campus and back to the lounge bar where the final scenes are Veil brushing her finger's against MC's and there's a crackle of electricity between them.

Bad Ending

Veil's curse does not get broken and instead MC becomes the target of Loxias's father's anger where he catches MC and holds them hostage in front of Veil since he can tell how Veil feels for them. There and in fear of losing them Veil shouts out that she loves them only to have the curse affect and harm MC. The ending ends with Veil rushing to MC, apologizing for everything, apologizing for even daring to love them as the screen fades to black as Veil cries ichor.

xiang route

general outlook: as people may not have assumed so ! xiang's route is a tough cookie and def not one of the easier ones. not harder than briar's route but absolutely up there under "stop giving the players a headache". but i'm taking what you said and imagining xiang taking an interest in you, the mc, because of your depression cope wife holexistence rather apparently disinterested behavior. he likes it when they play the cold shoulder, after all! though i feel that his route would be a very exciting one that makes u look forward to what happens next; it's never not lively without him and he just makes the dialogue so awfully funny and witty, you could make whole ass compilations out of just "things that xiang says in his route that i cannot get out of my mind".

it's not that hard to get the right answers with him, at the start, but the more it follows down the road of coming to a deciding point of what ending ur getting, it def gets harder. he either shuns you out like many others, because he just. might end up treating u like any other fling. or he'll want you to stay with him, but of course, getting to that point where he even considers that possibly is almost. painstakingly hard.

surprisingly though, i don't think the answers that indicate the most obvious interest in him would instantly lead to a good ending. i think it actually requires a balance...? of not. coming on too strongly and not vanishing from the face of earth. he is a bit of a tough cookie because he isn't always easy to read, but i feel that it'll pay off.

good ending: copium good ending is xiang is ur malewife and he loves u and cherishes u and shows u that every day somehow a good ending with xiang makes me picture a very toothy grin on his face, nearly smug, but genuine enough in itself, very telling of how happy it seems to make him that ur here with him. of course, nothing's ever perfect, but it seems that saying 'i love you' isn't anymore an intimidating feat as it was before, for him.

bad ending: of course, for that there are a multitude of options LMAO but it would def fall in the line of. xiang ending up just shoving u into a corner of 'like anyone else' and not heeding u any mind anymore. kinda just. lost his interest. he felt no spark. and he doesn't intend to linger around with u any longer. so he just kinda fucks off and moves on with his life - even if you express a strong dislike for that. but really? not his problem anymore. he can find someone else who would love to have fun with him <3

chanyu route

general outlook: if i had to give his route a difficulty rating, it would be an intermediate one? LIKE. he is not. as horribly emotionally messed up. but at the same time, he isn't someone who is impressed easily either. he is just. kinda there. but his route is fun. its interesting. i feel like u get a lot of entertaining moments with him and it hardly feels like it gets dragged out too long or is too bland. I DONT KNOW i just think his route is fun to play <3 go ham and entertain the buff man <3

i just think that in order to get the most out of the route, you just kinda have to keep his interest...? sort of show him that you're worth investing in, in a sense. if that makes any sense? like at the start, he def has hardly any interest in you, no signs of favoritism, no nothing. it's really You who has to get the ball rolling or nothing. is gonna roll at all here.

i think the tone of the route would have an interesting balance between being very entertaining but also exploring some rather. grim, darker sides. (think of how the og movie and its shift tone.) i just feel like that would be very interesting to see and feel out hehe.

good ending: what's a good ending with chanyu...? i feel that there isn't much to be said or done, in that case, since his. priorities do not lie with romance. i dont think there is rlly much happening, but i would like to imagine that the emphasis lies with how your relationship changed with him in the course of the route...? from someone for whom he didn't spare a second glance for to someone for whom he holds in high regard... i want that there is. a genuine sense of having build a bond... camaraderie except ur smooching ur fellow bro on occasion.

bad ending: u get murked by him, a classic <3 LMAO IM KIDDING BUT BUT. i think a bad ending with chanyu is one where. anything of the above mention just doesn't happen or dissolves...? perhaps even goes entirely south and you're left with an enemy made. i feel like his route in general is a lot more plot action, so i'd argue that there is a very. climatic moment in this ending, where ur on opposing sides with him. i have no idea, frankly, but. huh. looks like the u get murked by him ending rlly isnt that far off then.

She's a bit dark and standoff-ish at the beginning, playing at being mysterious and dangerous--

But all that goth overlayer hides the biggest fucking nerd, like Talos Drellik level of nerd.

Let her and she will talk ancient sith lore, language and magicks for ages.

Very tired most of the time, in that universe lives of caf, spite and endless academic enthusiasm.

Her 'romance' route is pretty damn cute, basically she gets interested and after a while doesn't even realize how far she has fallen-- second hardest confession to get, just after Sylvas.

She has a 'casual' and 'platonic' routes as well. A lot of coffee and library play-dates in the latter. The first one. Well. Mirage likes to have fun~

The 'secret' one involves demon summoning tho. So, uh, good luck!

general outlook: i'd like to think that briar's route would be a rather grim one to approach...? basically, i was thinking that, if my ocs were in a dating sim, briar's route is one that isn't really recommended to play from the get-go, because he would have a much more increased difficulty compared to the others. not the hardest, but def on second or third place. (that is, if you want to achieve a good ending with him)

it's hard to ever really pick the right answers with him, especially at the beginning. i feel like the first impression you leave on him as well as how the first conversations go are very essential to how the route will develop and just... even determine the tone of the route? I FEEL LIKE. while his attitude may either remain as grouchy as ever, get worse or tends to go a little "softer" (as soft as it gets with him) with time, the genre can just. shift into different directions.

it's like no answer really pleases him, so i think you just kinda have to hope and cross ur fingers that he doesn't entirely dislike u, because of how vague he is. i feel like that's what would get people frustrated with him LMAO

good ending: if you are gunning for a happy ending with him, then i think you'd have to pick the answers that would provide a different outlook, so to speak...? it might clash with his stance A LOT at first, but throughout the course of the route, it becomes clear that he values your opinion and your thoughts, thus seeming more receptive to you and opening himself up to you. obvs his route wouldn't be a "my partner is my therapist" route or anything, things just can't be fixed like that BUT i think there'd more a little brighter, even more hopeful undertones. (imagine an ending cg where u see a rare smile on his face; albeit a tired smile, he seems satisfied enough)

bad ending: it'd be, unfortunately, so easy to slip into a bad ending with him, where he develops clear disdain for you... it's not even a dramatic, big ending, but it's more just a. well. that was it of him. you're not gonna get a glimpse of him again. he doesn't want to see you. it's almost a little heartbreaking, but it's not like he really cares, at that point. at the end, you'll be another of thousands of faces in his long life and he makes sure to let you know that. (i.e. he's a bitch abt it)

if you wanna spice it up, i feel like he deserves a secret ending where ur like his past lover or someone he knew before LMAO like a reincarnation or smth... it wouldnt be so on the nose tho, smth more subtle. he isn't a man of dramatic, grand schemes, so that ending would not be grand either. and i would also say that his route would be one of the longer ones, maybe diving rather deep into topics that are ur late night talks at 2 am, contemplating life and shit. a route that makes u theorize on the overaching themes and what exactly is going on with him or smth, "why is briar prickler like this: a thread" LMAOOOO
