The 80s & 90s weren't an ideal time to be out about your techie nerdom. Ya know who we are by who we roll with. It's when nice people call you out that can get frightening. They opened Pandora's Box.
We talked things over in private and although they caught my attention with the proposal to win things for the school. I just didn't have the time to work some computer network tricks so the school can get new systems and I can get kickin referrals... I'd either have to withdraw from early college courses or drop the BF.
Foolish me kept the loser BF. 👎
