Dating tales - PART 3
Dating as a black woman should not be this hard.
So, the next contestant to step up was actually the one with the potential but just like Icarus, I flew too close to the sun and got burned.
It started off well, he was a bit demanding but I just brushed that off and kept it pushing.
His voice though- a deep east London boy accent 🤤
That got me, not going to lie and kept for longer than usually.
He was a nice looking dark skin boy with dreads from Angola.
He was very open to talk about normal things, we spent over like 2 hours talking about love languages and things we look for in a long term partner. Sounds good doesn’t it?
Sike.
When it was his turn, he basically said that ‘if you are my girl and you are not cooking for me and letting me touch, then it’s not going to last’. SIDE EYE.
He was like I will take care of everything else but you need to cook and take care of me. I don’t mind a man who wants to look after his girl like that’s real cute when I asked ‘oh are you going to get in the kitchen sometimes, switch it up?’ It was immediate shut down. Which he followed up with ‘there’s no reason for me to be in there, if we both work, I’m obviously working to provide for us you should at least have a meal waiting for me when I get home’. SIDE EYE.
Imagine coming home from work exhausted and drained, and finding someone’s dirty son on the couch asking you what’s for dinner? I would have to do life in prison.
There was a few others things that he said that are too triggering to put on the internet, but I am just weeding out the bad ones, my man is waiting for me somewhere.
Well another one bits the dust.
