Why did i suddenly think of natzu and nay's habit of waking up tzuyu in the middle of the night just to have a sleepcall with her? Interrupting her sleep, but tzuyu let's nay anyway because out of all the people she dated before, nayeon is the most clingy, ignoring the fact that she's older and supposed to be more mature

datzu anon this is so wonderfully fitting for the way I enjoy writing natzu most :(( they're my favourite embodiment of the 'talks a lot/listens' dynamic 😭😭

it's also very fitting for my celebrity!tzu au omg just them being in wildly different time zones, but tzu will still make it a point to wake up at the crack of dawn if only to be available for a call when nayeon finishes work, bc she knows ny needs her post-work rant session! even if she oversleeps, she'll definitely be up by the time ny's heading to bed -- she'll pretend it's a time she usually wakes up at, but sleep is a small sacrifice if it means hearing ny's voice,, (and she secretly loves seeing ny so clingy but shhh)

tzu definitely sometimes dozes back to sleep during these calls, but it's the sentiment that counts and ny loves watching her anyway 🥹

i have just read the most beautiful written piece of art omggg!!! It's so absentmindedly gorgeous im not sure i can recover 😭 a fic that flipped my emotion outwards, made me jumped out of excitement in my room, stayed awake till 2 am in the morning, risking late going to class because im waiting for that little twist, screaming inside as the professor yaps in front of the class 😅 fic too good im considering to gatekeep it xixi 😋

i mean yataome is really just a typical high school love story thoo 😭 it's A likes B and B likes A but they don't make the move bcs A and B are stupid teenagers, fast forward 10 years, B moved on while A is still stuck in the past and A regrets everything bcs they should've been together instead (you either dumb or just fooling yourself if you haven't moved on after a decade I'm sorry but what have you been doing 😭 and even then you still managed to insert an imagination of yourself with your failed love on their wedding day!!! like what??? it's their biggest day but get in there and make it all about you 😭😭😭)

I agree that it is quite typical! I just call it a yataome!au bc I'm pulling major plot points from the movie (as is with all movie aus), rather than just having a fic set in hs if that makes sense 🤔 eg. enemies-to-lovers(ish), honour student, most importantly how the plot evolves!

I only say it's become more of a hs!au bc I'm diverging from like every major characteristic of the movie to the point where the only similarities are the setting and somee plot 😭😭

I definitely get what you mean abt the ending! but I also did enjoy it 😭 I think it was to give the audience closure more than anything, and it didn't seem like not moving on, just seemed like someone having the chance to finally make proper peace with it 🥹 in fact I'd even say the whole point of the wedding was to show that they'd both moved on 🥹

that's how I saw it anyway! I'm sure some nostalgia is also at play here w me 😭😭

hanahaki disease au.. you're rlly trying to make me cry here 😭😭😭 yataome was very satisfyingly bittersweet tho, it wasn't angsty per say, so I'm rlly trying to avoid pure angst! atp you might just call it a high school!au LMAO 💀

I do have a plan so don't worry! I should say it normally takes me a month or so plan/write a fic, so there's a time frame if you need one 😭

about hcs,,, here are some! they may or may not be included in the final fic, (I have a tendency to abandon ideas the moment I share them to the world 💔) but they're still some ideas I've been entertaining lately :)

I am NOT writing a datzu adaptation of yataome omg datzu anon I will actually cry 😭 it took me decades just to write one super short angst fic for satzu...,, whom I alrdy thought fit angsty fics well,, but now you want me to write angst for datzu??? my wholesome married couple?? you want me dead 💔

but the more I think about it the more I'm less opposed to a sort of bittersweet ending, so.. maybe! tzu doesn't fit the personality of the male lead in yataome at all tho, so I'll probably make some big tweaks!
