Keeping Up With The Joneses! DGA Frames Fits Doors In Half A Street In 6 Months
Installer DGA Frames has installed front doors in half the houses in a street in Weston-Super-Mare. After installing a new Door-Stop composite door to his own house, Dave Goodwin, owner of DGA Frames, had so many enquiries from his neighbours he’s now fitted 6 more doors in ‘The Copse’. There are only 12 houses, all detached, on the small cul-de-sac in Weston-Super-Mare, and doors 8 and 9 are already being lined up by Dave.
“It’s a lovely cul-de-sac with detached houses built around 10-12 years ago. The original doors were cheap and cheerful metal composites,” comments Dave Goodwin. “The paint is now flaking off and the thermal insulation isn’t great. We’re replacing them with a much higher quality, energy efficient GRP composite door. Every time we’ve put one in it’s generated enquires from the neighbours – it’s all about keeping up with the Joneses!”
Most of the doors have been supplied in traditional black or white, but red and Anthracite Grey have also been chosen. Two typically popular styles – 4 panel 1 arch and 2 panel 2 square 1 arch – were preferred.
DGA Frames deals with new enquiries quickly. “We always use the Door-Stop dropcards that come free with each door – these are branded with our own logo and company details, but we also add the house number that we’ve just fitted so people can take a look. The dropcards work really well with our newly revamped website, especially now we’ve added Door-Stop’s Sales Manager. Homeowners can design a door on our website and ask for an emailed quote or a callback, which has helped win us 4 customers this week.
DGA Frames supplies and installs windows, doors (including bi-folds and curved sliding doors), and conservatories, as well as glass balustrades and balconies which are specified all over the UK. DGA also has a trade counter and Weston’s largest indoor showroom.
