The Hunt Analysis

this is actually kind of interesting and has very much to do with the whole “paradox” theme. When Ella goes back home and is asked about her brands she says she made them up, because there is no record of them in the real world (she’s checked) and they only exist in the universe of The Hunt. So was she given those brands because she was in the universe? or was she given them because she invented them? Similarly, did she go to the universe because she was written into the show? or was she written into the show because she was sent there? This is meant to go along with this whole Paradox idea that is more prevalent when she goes back home.

New Verse = anything that happens after she comes back "home" from the Hunt Verse

Old Verse = anything that happened before she entered the Hunt Verse. 

Hunt Verse = that time spent with the Savages

New Verse:  an entertainment article that read: Will 'The Hunt' Be a TV Series Within The Next Year?

Old Verse: There was already 4 seasons of the TV show

New Verse: B&W Hair

"My mom already hates you for dying your hair." - Jeremy her cousin in this verse

Old Verse: claims it's brown

Hunt Verse: B&W Hair 

New Verse: Elyse

Old Verse: Not known.

Hunt Verse: Takes to being called Cru Ella for her hair

New Verse: Loves to run in the morning

Old Verse: hated running because she wasn't good at it

Hunt Verse: bound to run when running from zombies and ghosts and demons

New Verse: World Mythology, Ancient Urban Legends, and The Evolution of Science, Magic, and Religion, along with a simple Bio course

Old Verse: General Education Classes

New Verse: All A's

Old Verse: Biggest slacker

( "I thought that maybe I was enrolled in all of these classes in this universe so I could be better at hunting whatever creatures I would encounter." )

New Verse:

"What was the thing that got me there in the first place anyway?"

"I thought about it, and after trying over and over again to transport myself by simply thinking of the place, I came to the dreadful conclusion that I needed to get brands. They were, after all, symbols of me entering the alternate universe. Maybe I needed to get all five in this universe in order to be sent back."

Hunt Verse: 

She's able to transport to Bobby's by thinking about it

New Verse:

"After the year ended, and I hadn't once even dreamed about Zach and Dave."

 It all seemed like a dream.

"... a convenience store. There was glass shattered here and there, and chains locked the front doors tightly. No one was in sight, but I heard dogs barking, and voices shouting... " (the pilot also started in a grocery store where they were hunting down zombies)

"I thought maybe I was losing my mind. What if I had never actually gone to that alternate universe? What if my name was actually Elyse and I was just so delusional and obsessed with a book series, that I had turned Beautiful Mind or something?"

Funny thing: 3 years she would find out what she needed to return to the Savages. John Watson was reunited with Sherlock 3 years later. 

**Did she time travel? or did she land in some kind other kind of parallel universe.

** She didn't have to go through her brands again when she got back to the Savages. They started working and giving her powers. 

** She spent 3 weeks with the Savages

** "Maybe I was going through all of this to prepare for the next visit. Maybe the reason I couldn't go back was because I wasn't ready to, and all of this was some kind of training." - my parallel universe theory 

** "I was freaking out because I had been written in the script. This was myself that I was auditioning for. How could that be? All of this already happened. How could it be happening again? Why wasn't anything making any logical sense?"

** "We know that this character wasn't in the books but we wanted to experiment just a little."

** Brands are signs of Cru's personal spiritual traveling (her excuse)

** "If they didn't write the brands there in the first place, how did I ever get them?"
