Here you go. Part 1 This is some of what I did to my bitchin ride. Took out the 6 cylinder that had Triple SU carbs, a yellow terra head, 4 speed SLR Torana gearbox , and a mild cam. And put in a 350 Chevy V8, with 850 Holly double pumper, Weiand manifold, Aluminum heads with big valves and A pink Duntov cam. Had to channel the front end to fit the sump. Basically just boxed it to retain the structural integrity. A Muncie 4 speed gearbox, with a Hurst shifter. I had to modified the transmission tunnel to fit it in. Basically just cut out the original and weld in a bigger piece of metal so that nothing hit or rubbed. I also tubbed the rear wheel wells and added a Salisbury ten bolt rear end, which I shortened to accommodate the monster Mickey Thomson 50 Indy Profile tyre’s. Had the axles made that job was far above my skill set. I also did the interior myself. I was happy with it at the time ( it was 46 years ago 1974 ) but looking back it was pretty basic. Compared to the photo I put up of one of the cars from @daveKindig done by @jscustominterior . I did like the way I cut the seat to clear the shifter though . Couldn’t change gears otherwise. And I couldn’t afford to get bucket seats.
