thinking abt davrin and vera childhood friends. the parallels between mythal (davrin) and solas (vera) in how davrin invites vera to come with him when he leaves, but unlike solas vera refuses the change, and they still grow up to regret it because when they meet davrin again it's so obvious he's been chewed up and spat out by the world, made to believe his own value is in his sacrifice, shortened his own lifespan by becoming a warden all in search of a "greater cause" and they wholeheartedly believe if they had gone with him, they could have prevented this

also davrin having andruils vallaslin and vera having ghilan'nains vallaslin, the hunter and the mother of halla, ending with davrins (supposed) death (im in denial yes! i don't careeeee) just like andruil and ghilan'nain (though thankfully vera doesn't go off the deep end afterwards bc they learned their lesson abt regret)
