Unsane “This Town” b/w “Urge To Kill” yellow 7″ (1989)
An era featuring Chris Spencer, Pete Shore, and Charlie Ondras; the latter two imported from Boss Hog. It was a more noxious and toxic violence in the air, one before David Curran and Vince Signorelli took up the final vacancies and sat in them for 25 years. The mission statement has always been the same on paper, however: excruciating violence at all times. Singles such as “This Town” b/w “Urge To Kill” were nothing compared to the more physical bloody-knuckle brutality the final line-up fine-tuned and delivered by the time Occupational Hazard (1998) and Visqueen (2007) came to play.
3,100 total copies of Unsane’s early single were issued across all colored sleeves. 200 of those come in yellow.
