Hello! I just wanted to let you guys know that David’s Tea is having a summer sale on quite a few of the teas I reviewed, If you wanted to grab something from the summer collection now would be a good time ❤️
David's Tea: Old Timey Treats
Hello, Dezz here :)
So I recently had the pleasure of visiting my local David's tea shop and picked up the new collection. To say the least this had to be my favourite collection this year. The teas featured in this collection are as follows:
~ Mango Fruit Punch
" With mango, pineapple and tangerine, this refreshing blend packs a punch"
~ Shirley Temple
"This fruity mix of berries, hibiscus and orange makes for a sweet treat fit for a star."
~ Cotton Candy
"This sweet treat is deliciously nostalgic and ridiculously fun"
~ Banana Split
"This rich and creamy treat brings the taste of a classic ice cream parlour right to your tea cup"
~ Black Cherry
"this sweet and refreshing black tea perfectly captures the taste of that fruity, fizzy drink."
Yeah I know right? They all sound delicious and truly they are but you always have a favourite and personally mine is black cherry so lets start with that...
Black Cherry
I tend to favour black tea over most, so that to me made this tea a winner. The taste is fantastic. cherry really shines through and the after taste is just slightly tart. It is naturally sweet so sugar isn't needed in my opinion of course! Iced is pretty good too but if you really want that cherry flavour to develop, I find hot it best.
Banana Split
Next up is the tea I was most excited to try.... well to say the least I'm happy I didn't buy 100g of this one. There is just something about rooibos tea that always throws me off, which can be quite aggravating because almost all the great dessert teas are rooibos teas. The flavour isn't exactly bad it just tastes overwhelmingly strong of bananas and I love bananas but I just don't get the ice cream creaminess or the chocolate sauce and what about the cherry on top?! I mean come on this is supposed to be a banana split not just banana, it's disappointing.
Mango Fruit Punch
One word, YUM! Absolutely delicious iced or hot all the flavours are fantastic and just seem to work. I even had the pleasure of trying it as a tea pop and that was a fantastic experience , It was actually my first tea pop :O and I couldn't have picked a better tea. Tangy sweet, it just works.
Cotton Candy
Once again I'm happy I only got 25g... I mean this one was much better than Banana split but it's such a weak tea, it was almost impossible to taste anything and I made a pretty strong tea. The smell was fantastic, I mean they got the smell of cotton candy spot on and the actual look of the tea is really pretty too, the pink and blue sprinkles are really cute but it was on the weak side which makes this a disappointment in my book too. I have not tried it iced for that reason I fear that since its so weak when its made hot it will be even weaker iced.
Shirley Temple
Just the smell alone of this tea is enough to make you want to buy 100g and oh man was I close to doing it but my local David's Tea was sold out which can only means it's doing really well. For some reason in my weird mind I never thought that orange and cherry would be good together but this tea defiantly proves me wrong, the taste is phenomenal. When I prepared this tea hot it tastes good, great even but once I decided to try it iced I was sold, I decided to try the drink they had posted on their blog, That was delicious too, I strongly recommend trying it. I feel like when I have the chance I'm going to be picking up a lot more of this tea!
David's tea defiantly had a lot more hits than misses in this collection and if you see it in stores or online I really recommend picking it up, some of the flavours just might surprise you!
Have a Tea-tastic day!
Dezz.

Dammit David'sTEA, why did you have to make beauty products when you were doing great just as a tea shop?
Bought these two teas today from DavidsTea's fall collection. Cannot wait to try them both.
