'DAVID HALL ROBERTSON' June 24, 1957 - Oct 9, 2021 I just finished up a small run of 30 laminated memorial posters that are a collaboration between myself and Mykola Bereza. All three of us were a part of The Tenderloin LOOK Gallery crew for a decade It was really cool working with Mykola on this project. More of Mykola's work can be seen at: www.mykolabereza.net This SATURDAY, April 2nd (3pm till all night) at @amsterdam_sf we'll be celebrating the life, art and writing of David Hall Robertson. David was a highly prolific oil painter and poet who resided in the Tenderloin for the last several decades. April 2nd will serve as both a memorial to David for his friends and family, as well an art show that is open to the public. Several of his paintings and journals of his writing will be on display for anyone curious of his work to come and see. This celebration will coincide with Saturday's @hospitalityhousesf Tenderloin Art Crawl where local artists will be on displayed at @mothbellygallery and @fleetwood_sf, both galleries are located around the corner from @amsterdam_sf. If your in the neighborhood viewing art please feel free to stop in for a pint and visit David's work. 'DAVID HALL ROBERTSON' June 24, 1957 - Oct 9, 2021 This SATURDAY, April 2nd (3pm till all night) at @amsterdam_sf we'll be celebrating the life, art and writing of David Hall Robertson. David was a highly prolific oil painter and poet who resided in the Tenderloin for the last several decades of his life. We've been getting really creative with David's memorial. I just had an abundance of slaps made from @topshelfstickers of a recent portrait I did of David. These will be available for FREE along with a series of screenprinted posters I had done at @fleetwood_sf. So please feel free to grab a handful of stickers and slap em' up anywhere you like; in the hood, on the streets, anywhere! David always really liked and encouraged my art throughout the years, so it's been a great priviliage to incorporate his likeness, attitude and inspiration in my work. He was a friend and inspiration to so many of us throughout the years. The memorial/exhibition will be held at David's favorite watering hole @amsterdam_sf (930 Geary st.) this Saturday, April 2nd at 3pm!
