The Pink Elephant, a former Chelsea nighttime hot spot known for serving exotic dance parties with a side of socialites, is scheduled to make its grand entrance this May at a new West Village location.

When the Pink Elephant paraded out of NYC in 2009, it made a lot of noise and created a highly anticipated return. Luckily for patrons, the wisdom and loyalty of this elephant has allowed it to make its way back home.

The new space promises a playful yet elegant modern day speakeasy with the disclaimer that it will be quieter and more “grown up” than last. Don’t let that fool you though; there’s a noted mixology-bar, guaranteeing to be backed by a sultry lady in scantily clad attire.

Shaken with a forbidden fruit twist.

Speaking of forbidden, while the energy level may come down a notch, the tight velvet rope will remain. And if in the past you were a favored (or un-favored) club goer, don’t be surprised if your status is the same.
