Why Tumblr?
Usually, a man in my line of work has neither the words "Facebook" nor the word"Tumblr" in his vocabulary. Seeing as how I now work in the private sector, God Bless Capitalism, I am free to do as I please. It is nice to be able to have a live journal; it gives me a sense a hope for the future and this generation. You have to understand that my career began when computers where in their infancy, and as your typical employer would monitor or ban his/her employees from using Facebook to save the firm from certain embarrassment, my employer followed suit (or lead suit). Retirement has its perks (i.e. Tumblr).
I haven't had a chance to make any close friends, and the couple I have, have no idea I'm David Thorn - It's a sad life when it's over. You just have to remember your adventures and hope to make new ones tomorrow; and this time, no one is stopping me from sharing.
I've done my homework and found that Tumblr has one of the most dedicated fan/user bases among the live blogging services. I am quite excited to begin sharing my story and snippets of my life today.
