Corner of the Studio, David Wilcox

Whilst working with Annette Pain of the Birmingham Royal Ballet, I asked her if she had any shoes to create some background. Amazingly she emptied a large bag full of shoes onto the floor. I decided to paint them as a still life in their own right.
