Abstract art is the purest possible expression of creativity and imagination, (your soul, if you will), unfettered by representational images. I view painting as a meditation and many of my paintings are expressions of the act of painting itself, with the brushstrokes and even parts of the canvass visible. Some are studies in the pure emotional impact of colour and form; the act of applying the paint being the focus of the work. Others are representations of abstract mathematical, spiritual or technical concepts but all express the spontaneous joy of life, of art and especially of painting. I can’t live without painting; it never fails to cheer me up and I feel blessed and thankful that so many of you, who hang my work, feel the same. I want my paintings to serve as a source of happiness, as well as an emotional and intellectual stimulus to the viewer. All of my paintings are original, one-off works. They are signed on the front and titled on the reverse. Every one of my paintings is sold unframed and unwired (as these are rightly choices for the owner to make) but otherwise ready to hang. I accept commissions and I’m happy to produce series of works for hotels, offices and factories.
