Hi! I'm a mod for MCU Loki Big Bang at @lokibigbang and signups have just opened! We're running both a big bang event (starting August) and a mini bang event (starting July 19). I'm sending you this ask in case you or any of your followers are interested in joining! Info and the full schedule are up on the blog, and our askbox is always open, so ask away if you have any questions! -Mod Dav
Hi! So I am answering this because I just want to make a bit of a point.
Your signups for the minibang started on June 21st and yet you sent this ask to me this morning, July 14th. The minibang signups close in 3 days and summaries are due in 5 days and that is for the stories that most people would likely write as it is 500-2000 words. Yes signups for the big bang aren't closed until August but that is 10,000 minimum. Not a lot of time for my followers/readers to make a decision.
Secondly, as far as I am aware, you and I have never interacted. I don't know you. I knew nothing about this big bang until this ask hit my inbox. While I respect your courage and pluck to essentially "cold call" blogs for some exposure, I bristle at what seems to be a means to the end to get people to join your bang.
Had you maybe sent an ask when signups first opened (almost a month ago) or even approached me ahead of time to boost the signal, I would have been all in. But this doesn't sit right with me.
Readers, peeps, you join if you want but you don't have much time to decide on the minibang. And the big bang is a huge commitment.
And just to say, you were very polite in your ask, you were not rude and I am not trying to be rude back. But I, personally, do not appreciate my blog being used a bulletin board without a little heads up.
