I have always known Davoren Park to be a troubled neighbourhood from what I have seen and heard in the media. It has predominantly been viewed as an area where violent crimes, major drug busts and molestation takes place. I recently re-watched the disturbing but brilliant Australian horror film Snowtown (see IMDB link at the bottom of the post) where the actors were mainly locals with no acting experience, that the director Kurzel had found in the area where the murders occurred, with most from Davoren Park. I wanted to see if these violent portrayals were true for myself, and if so, hopefully get some insight from the locals as to why Davoren Park is considered one of the most violent and dysfunctional suburbs in Australia.
