Davy DMX One For The Treble: This classic David Reeves aka Davy DMX started as a guitarist in Orange Krush with Larry Smith and co wrote the heavily sampled and seminal record Action. He has a loooong history in the game have helped right classics like Sweet T’s Games People Play@and Love Bug Starki’s You Gotta Believe, and most famously Jimmy Spicers classic money (Dollar Bill)as well as producing early rap classics like Spoonie G’s The Big Beat . A long time cohort of RUN-DMC Davy is the Davy who cut the record down to the bone on they’re classic Sucker Mcs. He would later go on to co write Runs House and Beats To The Rhyme for the legendary duo. This was Davy’s solo debut on Tuff City records. This was besides Herbie Hancocks Rockit the most influential DJ record ever released up to that point in time. This song inspired a boatload of cats to become DJs and showcased Davy’s cutting and scratching techniques. This was and is a NYC BBoy classic. He was also a really funny and nice cat use to know him from the OG Rush Productions days.
