To celebrate hitting 2k on my Instagram, I asked my followers to create a character with me through polls and questions on my IG stories! :) I ended up making two characters instead of one to be able to use as many of the ideas/suggestions I got as possible!

So meet Dawnya! She was born and raised in a small town on the edge of the forest. Growing up, Dawnya had difficulty focusing at school and reading social cues, which made it hard for her to make friends. Some kids intentionally avoided her because they thought she was faking being weird for attention. Her big sister and younger brother were her best and only friends but they both left home after high school to go to the big cities for work and further education, leaving Dawnya - who wanted to stay in the small town - to help run their family’s grocery store business.

Dawnya has always loved art and painting. In her spare time when not working at the store, she paints landscapes and dreams of traveling to places and painting the parts of the world that she has never seen. Due to her selfless nature that makes her always put others first, she finds it hard to leave behind her old grandma and dad to pursue her dreams. She lives a quiet, uneventful, and lonely life in town, of which inhabitants are mostly elderly and children, until one day, a mysterious-looking botanist comes living at the small cottage by the woods, just outside her town.
