'Kirby Buckets' on Disney XD Live Action and Animation With a Young Boy’s Imagination

Combining Live Action and Animation, “Kirby Buckets” is a Journey Through a Young Boy’s Imagination.

‘Kirby Buckets’ follows the adventures of Kirby Buckets, a 13-year-old with ambitions of becoming a famous animator like his idol, Mac MacCallister.

Set in Forest Hills Kirby navigates his eccentric town with his two best friends, Fish and Eli. The trio’s adventures find them trying to get out of a predicaments before Kirby’s sister, Dawn, and her best friend, Belinda, catch them.

Along the way, Kirby is joined by his animated characters, each with their own vibrant personalities that only he and viewers can see.

Beginning October 1, DisneyXD.com will launch a new online game, “Kirby Buckets: Scrawl and Brawl”. The objective, create your own character and battle enemies completing quests and drawing items along the way to get through each level.

The first episode will also be available on the WATCH DISNEY XD app beginning a week earlier, on October 13.

Disney XD is set to premiere ‘Kirby Buckets’ on Monday, October 20 at 8:00 pm ET/PT.

In the premiere episode ‘Cars, Buses and Lawnmowers,’ Kirby learns about a character design contest, the prize? A chance to meet his idol Mac McCallister and have his character animated on TV!

Kirby’s plans to attend with friends Fish and Eli are stymied when they’re stranded at school hours before the contest, their actions land them in ‘Clown Town,’ an run-down area of the city run by creepy clowns.

When Kirby’s sister Dawn realizes an embarrassing drawing of her titled ‘Dawnzilla’ is Kirby’s contest submission, she and Belinda set off to stop him.

Kirby Buckets is a single-camera series that combines live-action and animation staring Jacob Bertrand as Kirby.

Created by Gabe Snyder & Mike Alber (“Supah Ninjas”) and produced by Kristofor Brown (“Beavis and Butt-head”). It’s a production of Horizon Productions, Inc. with animation by Titmouse, Inc. and with a TV-Y7 rating.
